I understand Bungie wanting us to try new weapons. I think that's actually a good thing. But forcing us to get 10 kills with a heavy weapon that gives you 1 shot per drop...?
Wardcliff, Truth, and the occasional lucky shot with something else and you're still getting half the team camping heavy.
It really destroys the flow of the game. When it was grenade launchers, there were options to use without the heavy drops.
Maybe it should have been 5 kills?

Twin tailed fox makes for some fun super trolling
-
My point being, gameplay is negatively impacted. I got my kills relatively quickly. That's not the point. The point is, every match is shite. At least half the team is camping heavy while zones are ignored.
-
1 ReplyThis game isn’t about fun anymore, it’s about DAUs and keeping people playing enough that they eventually go shopping at eververse

Edited by Ari: 12/27/2019 2:28:02 PMIt shouldn't have been a heavy ammo weapon to begin with, that is all.

This quest step completely negates the team element/objective of IB. Way to go Dev’s! You have show us exactly how in tune you are with community and the mission of the event as a whole 😡
-
Agreed. Having all separate makes the thing way too grindy. At least if they were all on the same step you could partner guns together and get them over time. And def more efficiently. Personally don't use shot guns and having to do that part just so I can get my well earned loot is simply ridiculous.
-
The IB quest is pure garbage, and needs to be totally removed from the game. It provides zero benefit, and only serves to gatekeep us from cashing in the tokens.

Edited by Speaker: 12/26/2019 1:27:53 PMWhat is this I see? reasonable feedback??? You get a star frien.

2 RepliesIt should’ve been 3 kills. 5 at most
-
6 Replies100% the game objective (capture zones) is not the focus. Focus is on getting heavy and getting those 10 kills so you can be done with the IB and cash in your 4 pinnacle bounties. Armour we’ve already had. Guns we’ve already had. There is a shader and an emblem that are new. There’s basically zero reason to play IB this season except for the pinnacle bounties. The quicker you get those RL kills the better.
-
I did all 3 characters because I hate myself.
-
2 RepliesIt should have been 50 rocket kills. 10 sounds a bit too cheap and easy. Real men like a proper challenge 👍
-
Funny how many people miss the point that it impacts gameplay because people AREN'T PLAYING THE OBJECTIVE, only the quest step. Friday morning was better. Less people camping heavy, more people actually trying to win. But 3 straight days of nonsense prior to that.
-
Yes, demanding kills with a weapon type that has extremely limited ammo is just plain dumb.
-
Edited by Nineball2112: 12/26/2019 6:37:39 PMOh absolutely. Entire matches go where ppl don’t give a rip about any objectives. Just gotta get through this stupid quest.

Ngl played with 3 of my clan mates today... we literally played for heavy ammo to get the quest done.... the other team were pretty much doing the same thing... don’t think it was the best idea from bungie
-
2 RepliesIB quest step is ruining veteran player and new player game enjoyment. Bungie says it's all about players enjoying the game. Well ...the rocket science game designers thought it would be fun for 12 players to try to get 1 heavy ammo for rocket launcher kills. Even your random team mates camp and fight you for it. The players who were successful, did it before people realized what was happening. Dmg4, if you read this, tell your staff this idea was terrible.

1 ReplyI'd actually say the shotgun part is worse, as someone who's playstyle doesn't suit shotguns it's a Fkn grind which has seen my usual sniper / scout combo game being wrecked by having to run a weapon that I have no inclination to use in the game ever.
-
This IB is cancer
-
Edited by XxSkull FistxX: 12/28/2019 4:59:55 AMI agree! I hate shotguns and I’m literally on the 7th game trying to get the 20 shotgun kills. I get one hit killed all the time from halfway across a room with dust rock and mind benders but when I use my dust rock and mindbenders I can’t get a one hit kill to save my life, not even from arms length away in the middle of the chest. Just this part I’m getting like 5 kills a game and .40 k/d. This sucks, not fun at all just to be able to turn in my tokens!
-
3 RepliesI used Lord of Wolves and it went pretty quickly. Maybe give that a try.
-
1 ReplyOr at least count kills in Gambit, etc. with a rocket launcher... Only counting kills in IB has turned this game mode into something unbearable.
-
It’s hard for me to say for sure because I have done a lot of quest in my D career, but this may be the worst quest step EVER! I hate camping the heavy all game and then trying to get a rocket kill while everyone is doing the same thing. So so so stupid.
-
6 RepliesWouldn’t have been so bad IF for IB they put the heavy ammo economy to how it was before the nerfs, 2-3 rockets depending on the launcher. Elimination and survival can keep that nerfed heavy ammo environment, IB should be how it was before. Especially with questlines like this with rockets. On a side note, seen a lot of people whiff using Warfcliff. What’s up with that?!? 🤷🏼♂️
