4 RepliesThe Code of Conduct states: “Bungie reserves the right to moderate this website and everything on it.” When you message someone on their website (or app), they still have the right to moderate it. It could be illegal if they didn’t tell you, but they are. If you want privacy, use something like Discord. Like another user said, there’s an auto ban on certain words as well. Here’s the link to the Code of Conduct: https://www.bungie.net/en/Bungie/conduct I in no way speak for Bungie, this is assumption based on the evidence presented.

Might want to check their TOS first. Pretty sure anything we do on here is fair game for them

1 ReplyYou should tell your lawyer to look at your user agreement first. A private company is well within their legal rights to regulate what you use their platform for, and you agreed to that and your messages being monitored by them
-
4 RepliesB.net has auto-ban on certain words. ex: "ch0d3" spelled correctly in the forums will get you an automatic warning after posting. same word spelled correctly in a PM will get you an automatic ban from PMs. 🤘🏽

4 RepliesThere are no "private" messages on the forum. There are direct messages.

12 RepliesBungie has no obligation to monitor the Communication Services. However, Bungie reserves the right to review materials posted to a Communication Service and to remove any materials in its sole discretion. Bungie reserves the right to terminate your access to any or all of the Communication Services at any time without notice for any reason whatsoever. The defense rests. I know you are back home at mom and dad's house after taking a business law class, but you have absolutely zero grounds at all. I know this because I have been in court for 12 years due to getting hit by a car. Assuming you got an attorney to even get this bs filed, which a judge would not allow on their docket, you would be spending over $600 an hour for a decent attorney. So, I ask...what are your settlement requirements?

Imagine not understanding the law this hard. Their platform, their rules. You have zero protection under privacy laws here.

1 Reply"Private messages" on forums have never truly been private from mods/admins.

Privacy laws don't apply on the internet.

14 RepliesAnd you signed into your DMs being monitored here. I'd be 100% shocked if it wasn't in the EULA, Terms of Service, or some other agreement you signed into. If you want true privacy in your DMs, go to Telegram, maybe Discord.
