Trash talkers
I don’t care if people trash talk but don’t ever send me a private message trash talking me and swearing at me I will report you every time. My son likes to play this game too and I don’t want him to see this kind of stuff for just trying to relax and have fun

I get hatemail all the time. I report everything and nothing ever gets deleted. But I get instantly banned if someone reports me. Sony doesn't even look at my reports anymore.

Set your messages to 'Friends Only' . Or look at it this way, hatemail is received when you whooped some asses I'm the crucible. Just have a laugh about it and move on. Or block them if they keep messaging you trying to pretend that they are not butthurt.

In my opinion, if your son is doing well enough to warrant getting hate mail, he deserves whatever the hell he wants for Christmas. But seriously, you could just set your messages to friends only.
