On console heat rises does slow your descent slightly, but its still a pain for something you need to sacrifice your grenade for. Meanwhile it seems to work correctly on PC. I imagine that the intended purpose was for you to stay in the air with heat rises active.
It is otherwise hard to maintain since redbars don't extend the time much at all and you are constantly having to readjust your altitude, meaning less time spent shooting. Sky relies HEAVILY on sunbracers.
Positives: I love the amount of melee energy you get from aerial kills and I love sunbracers

Works fine for me

Heat Rises doesn't make you fly. It basically just causes Glide to be super slow.

The super still sucks. without the targeting from bottom tree the projectiles just barely hit or miss altogether. With Hunters having immortal infinite dodges and max mobility titans there is no way, with current projectile speed, top tree is a good super.

You have to get kills to keep it active which is much harder on console so try using sunbracers hitting that melee from the air then chucking a bunch of grenades inbetween firing shots. Will only help a little but you do what you gotta do I guess. The dodge definitely does not give you a boost like it's supposed to either.

12 Replies(Xbox)I don't play warlock much but when I tried it out I couldn't stay up for really long. But have seen YouTubers stay in air not moving for however long they want if they keep getting kills.

Its because of console frame rate. It IS bugged and it will probs never see a fix

Definitely bugged.

2 RepliesIt just extends glide time not make it infinite.

Let me guess, it cancels and reactivates Glide while in mid-air, thus starting downward momentum like it always does, making the extended duration worthless if not started from the ground? I imagine the extended duration being that of what you get with a healing nade in hand.

9 RepliesNo, it clearly states that it -extends glide time-, that doesn’t mean you can glide forever.
