Nice, now for Warlocks never use it because their not a melee focused class, and still get beaten by Titans BECAUSE THATS WHY TITANS FUKING DO

Builds my good friend builds titans and hunters can be focused around grenades and melees and now warlocks can actually have something more than grenade build that aren’t that great anyways. Warlocks have what 3 or 4 exotics that revolves around melee but we can’t utilize them in PvP because of our slower melee speed.
-
Yeah but Warlock melee is mostly about ranged attacks, especially now. And in the situations where they don't have ranged melee, you're better off going for busted ass grenades anyway.
-
Edited by MeowLurus: 12/22/2019 7:23:56 PMI read wrong lol but busted grenade? Warlocks don’t have a 1 shot grenade it’s an ability that you are talking about and it’s range is nothing compared to hunters throwing knife
-
So what is the focus of the Warlock class? To heal? We arent healers.
-
Neither are hunters. Next
-
Lol do you even destiny warlocks never use it? Yes u never melee unless I'm on a titan because only titans can? Logic man use logic.
-
Edited by ComaToast: 12/20/2019 12:04:38 PMNo, what I'm saying is that the likelyhood a Warlock is actively meleeing someone is nonsense. Titans have playstyle entirely designed around melee and aggression. Hunters have a subclass designed around it. Warlocks are centred around not only grenades, but melee cooldowns designed to hit at a way further range, and also potentially one shot. This change won't change anything, every Warlock without their melee cooldown will lose every single melee encounter, cos the other 2 are just way better at it, and have something to actually earn from it. Be a better Warlock, don't let them reach you. Like you completely ignore that you can just float up and just shoot them from way in the sky, cutting off not only their melee but basically every option they have. If you're a dumbass going "DUHHH, ILL MELEE THEM COS IM THAT GUY IN HALO THAT WOULD AR RUN AND MELEE" that's your problem.
-
Melee battles happen every single game.
-
Grenades get thrown every single game. One shot knives get thrown every single game. Barricades go up every single game.
-
Exactly so for you to say warlocks dont melee or shouldn't melee is a freakin joke. Maybe for your limited play style but not mine. (Insert edgy yet wrong comeback about how warlocks were designed to only have range and not be used for close quarters.) My hand held super nova, blink and shotgun would like a word if that's the case.
-
Not about "don't melee", it's about accepting the limits of your class. Think Hunters sit around going "UGH, WHY CANT I GET INCREASE MELEE RANGE LIKE WARLOCK AND TITAN". No. Cos they have other things that make them good. Warlocks don't need a good melee, when they take out 3+ people with one grenade, without even trying. Handheld Nova is even more busted than before. They're the only subclass with multiple auto healing mechanics, on top of just having a rift that already heals. You can be a blink boi and rush, but doesn't mean that's the best option for you. I wouldn't sit and lane on bottom tree Striker.
-
Hardcore disagreed one of the biggest reasons I stopped playing my warlock is because the melee isn't good anymore so I used to melee the f*** out of people with it warlock melee
-
Warlocks can be aggressive too. Warlocks can be shotgun melee apes, warlocks can use melee just as well as titans.
-
Once we get our speed buff yup.
-
No. That's just factually untrue. I say that as someone who uses Tranversive Steps most of the time when I play Warlock. There's nothing to really gain from playing Warlock that way, you don't have any melee that regens health. And if you're putting on Karnstein Armlets, you're better off using Monte Carlo anyway, and a range melee subclass for more damage and a guaranteed kill for the regen. Melee is the least effective playstyle of Warlock for a reason.
-
Edited by Madness Tus: 12/20/2019 1:43:20 PMUmm....... (Devour) you do know you need to kill an enemy with a melee to get the benefits right? yes you can consume a grenade too I'm well aware. I understand and respect your opinion and what you're saying is right but the Warlock was a melee class, it's no longer seen as such or play as such cause they nerf the base melee range at the beginning of D2 beta.
-
No it's not
-
Edited by Madness Tus: 12/20/2019 2:16:20 PMThen why they brought back Claws of ahamkara ? why they made winter's guile? most importantly why they change Sunbracers double solar grenade perk from D1 and made it so you need to get a "melee" ability kill to gain infinite grenade in D2 if they know that Warlock is not a melee class ? its because it was designed to be in the first place the community messed around with the design of the class by asking to nerf the base melee range thats why they created "Ball lightning" and "Celestial fire" to maintain the class design
-
Yeah and all those exotics suck. Helm of Saint14 was useless until Shadowkeep. Things change at get buffed. Karnstein is best used with stuff like Monte Carlo, so you can just range kill regen on melee CD.
-
Edited by Madness Tus: 12/20/2019 2:28:22 PMYup, and if they hadn't nerf the base melee range all of those exotic including Karstein would've probably been Tier 1 exotics
-
No not really. They'd be average because the class isn't really about melee.
-
Edited by ACROCANTHUS: 12/20/2019 12:27:44 PMI literally ape with blink and an smg when I'm playing for fun. Maybe you're just bad at being an aggressive warlock. Also, DEVOUR.
-
Devour has nothing to do with melee, it procs off any kill if it's active. You're ignoring the entire point which was Warlocks being less effective at using melees because they have strengths in other places, which is true. Not am opinion, it's just the way it is. Titans dominate close range, because their subclasses are designed around it. Crying about how " wah, I can only get 8 melees in the same time Titan can get 10" is negligible and pathetic. Stop blaming the game for people being unable to play properly.
-
So what you're saying is that warlocks should have a statistically worse melee because you dont use it as much as other classes do when you're playing warlock? That's just the dumbest reason I've ever heard for something on here. Devour is a melee ability and on a charged melee kill devour will start and then be procced by every kill. I play aggressively on warlock and can see when the melee fucks me over end of story.
-
So warlocks should get a titan tier melee but also great grenade and cool downs as well? Let’s make rift drop instantly too I guess
