They don't even need to LOOK at you for it to track. It tracks around a corner, you cannot run away from it or jump over it. I just had a game on Burnout. I was on one side of the big rotating wall, the burning maul the other. The open half was at the top. I died through a wall. I don't understand why it was buffed. It was always good, but now its broken.

So that you can come and whine about it. Bungie took this initiative to up the dwindling number of whiners on forums! Seems to be working as intended.
-
Because it sucked.
-
Still a mediocre super. Try it yourself or otherwise it's usage rate a month from now will show !
-
They actually nerfed the tracking. I noticed that it’s not as aggressive as before. I don’t know why you’re complaining.
-
Quite simply because it was ass in both pve and pvp 🤷🏼♂️
-
2 RepliesIf it was a hunter buff you wouldn't be whining 😂
-
Chocolate teapots had more -blam!-in use before they buffed burning maul!!
-
The tracking was actually toned down in exchange for being able to hit you bouncy Hunters no matter how high you jump. It's finally feeling competitve
-
Tracking was nerfed, you likely stood in its path and died. Now you're here, preaching to the choir.
-
It was underused, so it received some small buffs to make people notice it more. It’s not too much stronger.
-
14 RepliesAre you complaining about burning maul? Lmao
-
Because it was kinda bad?
-
4 RepliesNOT EVER SUPER SHOULD BE A PVP SUPER it was just fine Maybe the time increase was needed but why all the effectiveness buffs? This is just the classic case of buffing titans to kill hunters I honestly don't know who is the titan main at bungo that gave them OEM for 1 year, juggernaut for almost one year, magnetic shield on sentinel, suppress grenades , should charge one bange bullshit ,etc ...
-
It got a buff so you would complain about it.
-
Edited by SpectralXIV: 12/20/2019 1:15:32 AMBecause its usefulness was like watching a Grandmaster going up against a child But with this buff if Burning Mall bleeds I can still kill it
-
It's official, people will cry about anything...
-
6 RepliesYeah, it needs a nerf. Tracks way to aggressively, takes no skill. Cant even jump over it tanky af (nerf armour resistance)
-
It was buffed, because it was bad. I rarely even play titan, but at least i know that.

Edited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 12/19/2019 11:55:33 AMIt's in a decent spot now. Was undertuned before. You still can't turn in midair for precision aiming while slamming down so the tracking is required for it to hit anything. The light attack has no lock-on whatsoever unlike every other melee super in the game. You can spin on someone's heels with it and it won't catch up to them. And the light attack isnt a 1-shot unlike every other melee super in the game. The slam animation is one of the easiest supers to snipe in-game. It locks you in a predictable downward arc while slamming + shortly after the slam and the attack takes time to travel. Using it vs good snipers is suicide at least on MnKB. Same thing with light attack spinning. It keeps your head completely stationary on horizontal plane and initiating the spin has no noticeable movement burst. Bon abetit for a good sniper. The super doesn't offer any extra mobility or longer duration. With how gimped the other melee aspects in it are, if there was no slam tracking it'd be the worst roaming melee super in-game by far and even below current bottom tree striker in applicability.

5 RepliesIt always tracked. They just made it more useful against airborne targets and fixed the L1 attack
-
It's crazy good now. I jumped backwards around a corner and thought I was good and then nope. I like it.
-
Uh...you likely died because their splash damage physics are crap. I sometimes die through my titan barrier when people shoot at the base of the shield when there's no gaps in it. Also you can still avoid the explosion by jumping over it, you just need to be a bit higher than a normal jump to avoid it.
-
It was probably not used enough for Bungies liking. Give it a buff, more people use it. Just like popular weapons, use them too much and they get a nerf.
