So since the vex of the black garden worship the darkness what if the vex of the infinite forest after fighting saint-14 for millennia and being able to understand the light enough to drain it from him begin to worship the light.
The vex have to date only come across one power that has cause them to alter their behavior fundamentally and that is the heart of the black garden which led to them worshipping it
Saint-14s grave (former, kinda) is the only other example of respect even borderline worship shown by the vex, the built a tomb for him because of how mighty a guardian he was, his body became a font of light, in addition the setup of his tomb could also suggest it as a place of worship
In addition the light as an entity had the purpose of encouraging life in all its infinite complexity to survive and thrive and grow more complex so thematically an infinite and ever growing forest makes more than a little sense as a place of the light while alternatively the black garden is a place where the entire ground of the garden looks identical and is filled only by the strongest creatures.
Is it possible that the vex of the infinite forest have begun to worship the light or at least saint-14 as a method to gain paracausal favor or power.
We know that last time a similar encounter occurred the vex resorted to worship as a means to gain power.
In addition due to saint-14s grave being a font of light they have access to a scourge of it and maybe were using it to hide saint-14s timeline from Osiris, and if the remnant light of saint-14 is stronger then Osiris’s echos that would work
In addition the vex in the vault of glass assimilated the guardian Kabr giving them access to the light
Tell me what y’all think

8 RepliesHere is this thing about the Vex that has been on my mind since the lore from Erie. The Gardener/Traveller made the Vex as an entity outside of the game (only introduced by Crota) If the Vex have been in the solar system before life has spawned why are their no Vex settlements on Earth? Even with time travel, if enemies of the Traveller. They could already have taken Earth. My crackpot theory is that the Vex are not the enemies of the Traveller; they ARE Traveller spawn. The one mission in Nessus has the Vex imploring Ghost to come home. The Vex are not the enemy. They are a confused entity attempting to understand chaos with order but see the Traveller as divine because it can create ever more complex things.

57 RepliesThe darkness chooses to give them powers in return for being worshipped but we don’t know if the light would work the same way, the traveler would have to be aware of it and then choose to let them have some light which I’m guessing it wouldn’t as the vex in general are an enemy of the last city
