I'm not asking the last time Warlocks were good, but the last time they were the BEST. The last time they were outright better than Titans and Hunters in PVP. The last time you would chose Warlock if you needed to win as much as possible.
Edit: I probably should have asked the last time Warlocks were the meta. As in, best for a signficant amount of time like a season. For example, I personally wouldn't count nova warp because it got nerfed into the ground within weeks of releasing.

They’re all the same

2 RepliesNova warp

2 RepliesPre nerf Ram during the thorn meta and the six weeks of Nova warp. That’s really about it.
-
2 RepliesI see many have forgotten the self res spam fusion grenade era in trials.
-
Pre nerf nova warp was outright unbalanced but that only lasted 6ish weeks. And it was only one class. Hunters had spectral post buff, titans had middle sentinel and pre nerf OEM, which negates anything Unblanced warlocks had.
Stands Up, clears voice
The ram And thorn
U pleab

d1 pre nerf shoulder charge op off the templar balcony
voidfangs with firebolt nades + viking funeral

Forsaken pre-nerf Nova Warp, and then after the Go Fast update to Dawnblade. Then when Arc Web was introduced, but that's only with player heavy game modes like Iron Banner. Stormcaller is pretty balanced at the moment. Nova Warp could be better, but I think Handheld Supernova makes up for it. Not sure about Dawnblade now, and Well of Radiance is situational like Ward of Dawn.

They have had ups downs out all destiny one and two
-
I got to legend last season by via bottom tree storm caller with getaway artist exotic gauntlets. Warlocks are my PvP and PvE favorite.
-
Destiny 1 for a good chunk of Y2, and most of Y3. Double Fusion nades AND self res anyone? Or maybe stormcaller?
-
When trample was op was the only time they weren’t the best option for pvp. Their abilities are easy to use, they recharge well, and they have the most variety of subclasses and sub-subclasses.

1 ReplyThe people that say warlocks have never been meta must be garbage at playing warlock lmao
-
Its about how well you play. Not what class you are..
-
TTK EZ Stormcaller (before I got tone down) Sunsinger fire bolt + viking funeral + Touch of flame + Flame shield= yikes
-
1 ReplyYou guys remember firebolts 😬

D1 self res fire bolt D2 Nova warp

4 RepliesSelf Rez and Fusion grenades in trials.

3 RepliesAll the time. Easy mode crutchlocks are the worst kind of player...

1 ReplyBungie HATES warlocks and does everything in their power to make them trash in crucible. Self res Erased from game D1 storm caller nerfed into ground for D2 Nova warp nerfed into ground only has a good nade Dawnblade nerfed súper on only good glass, replaced with gimmicky trash that is not as good.

4 RepliesAll of d1

The only time I can ever think of is when Nova warp dropped and when Fire bolts had to be nerfed. Neither of which lasted long due to the majority getting them nerfed faster than us the minority can get their stuff balanced / adjusted / nerfed.
-
Funny how there have only been one or two times. The rest of the times have all been Hunters and Titans.
-
I’ll tell you of a time Warlocks we’re FEARED in the Crucible. It was in Destiny 1, in was right when the third subclasses were released. Arc was the new class for warlocks. And Stormcaller was the only arc super. Pre-nerf, a Stormcaller was impossible to kill. When you heard that super fire up, you ran for the hills. Didn’t matter if it was the opposing team or one of your team mates, you ran. One of the scariest sounds I’m Destiny 1.

Also so funny how this gets down voted. Gotta wonder why.

8 RepliesBest is subjective. In theory warlocks are the best simply because of their recovery stats. The ability to heal yourself and to do it fast at that? That’s already a huge pvp advantage over the other classes.
