This crap is ridiculous even with all the exp boosts active. I was max seasonal rank last season with all the exp bppsts active and i didnt complete it.
You gain 1 to 2% progression which is stupid. It should be 5% or more once u have all of the exp boosts active.
This is ridiculous!!

I wasnt aware we no longer have to equip em to gain progression. So its fine now i guess. Why does gambit prime give 2% while everything else gives 1 to .5 %.
Make em all give 2% please.

This was hella easy for both! If you don’t play you won’t get it’s worth the grind for both

The gring is real

7 RepliesEdited by DownyKitten: 12/18/2019 9:00:47 AM@ Symmetry #1 it levels up no matter what activity you do. 0 stress progression. Love it #2 its a trash exotic. Who the f cares @Erianas - also trash. Also dont care. The only exotics that stand out are Izanagis, wish-ender, Ace, Outbreak, Wardcliff, and the perpetually bugged Telesto

I received the catalyst for Eriana's Vow last season. Completing many strikes helped to increase my power level towards 981 without doing any Legend or Master level activities. The catalyst is worth the grind if you like playing Nightmare Hunts and the new strike on the Moon.
-
4 RepliesTry these without buying season pass.its basically not achievable. Bungle is turning game into pay to win slowly but surely.
-
1 ReplyEdited by Sarges24: 12/18/2019 8:52:51 AMthe problem was last season you actually had to have it equipped. It appears that bungie has removed that caveat and is giving us credit toward both Eriana's and Symmetry via the listed activities; w/o having to equip them. I thought that 1% x 100 Strikes last season was bad but completely forgot the Season Pass gave us a multiplier. While the system is still kind crap, it's certainly better imo since we don't even have to run the weapons to get progression. With that multiplier Symmetry should be completed no problem this season just playing Strike Playlist, Gambit and Crucible. Eriana's on the other hand, yes, it's going to take some time but at least I don't have to have it equipped to get credit toward the catalyst. However I went from 48 points to over 100 the past week while playing less than usual.
-
2 RepliesWhat's wrong with 1% progression per activity? So it takes a couple few weeks for the catalysts to unlock.
-
3 RepliesI haven’t done too much this season and already have more than 25% of it done in the 1st week.... If I was dedicated I’d have it done in a week. Not much of a grind at all.
-
1 ReplyI don’t think it’s horrible. One week in and I’m almost halfway.
-
1 ReplyThese catalyst progression is meant to last the season. So far, we are one week into this season, nowhere near the end. Do I need to explain more for you?
-
4 RepliesJust, get it done. For once they offer a gameplay incentive to grind like hell and people are complaining, ffs.
-
6 RepliesWait till you hit season rank 22 and get the catalyst boost. You’ll get 4 times the amount of progress per specific activity that counts towards those catalysts. Easy sailing from there.
-
6 RepliesNot really. You don’t even need to have symmetry equipped for its catalyst quest
-
1 ReplyBRAZACK you make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but,Omnigul is the last of Crota's generals. She is the architect of her master's wakening. As long as she lives, the threat of Crota's return will haunt this world. Track her down, and exterminate every Hive that stands in your way.
-
At least they got rid of the stupid % based progress bar
-
I'd gring on Ariana all day, erry day
-
It would be fine if the catalyst was actually good. But it is trash. It has no effect on pvp and it slightly improves a primary exotic in pve. You see the problem there? No one uses exotic primaries in pve.
-
1 Reply360 out of 400 for me
-
Now I believe you don’t need it equipped? Before it sucked cause I would forget to equip it and lose scores of % wise progress.
-
Eh, it’s alright. I like how for symmetry you don’t need it equipped. It all just happens by playing over time, really. I would like to see more activities count toward it though. I’m thinking black armory, public events, blind well, etc... that seems fair.
-
With the 4x buff you get from the Artifact and just running the Gambit and Strike weeklies on all 3 chars + 3 Sundial runs per char I'm already 25% done. If I needed to run PvP thats 36 more points JUST from running the weeklies and no farming at all. The Vow, yeah thats no fun, as even with it on me (not equipped though) each one of those runs only counted as 1 and not 4. Happily I don't care for the Vow all that much so no biggie for me. I get it when I get it.
-
Wow just play the game chief. You’ll unlock it naturally as long as you have it in your inventory. Erianas was lame as you had to have it equipped.
-
2 RepliesAnd, if like me you didn't start on Shadowkeep until late in the Season, you will discover that the Catalyst boosts for this new season won't boost the Eriana Catalyst grind that you started last season. No way I'm running another 350+ strikes to complete The Vow. Catalyst boosts should apply retroactively. For now, I'm vaulting Eriana till the grind is significantly reduced.
-
1 ReplyI hate gringing
-
In the previous season of "Arianas grind" game used percentage ratio during the progress of the quest, but now, after the introduction of "points" system, I observed that i can get only one point for one PvP match. This is ridiculous considering that it takes 400 points to complete the quest. Moreover, the activity of using this handcannon does not affect the progress.
-
You don't need to have them equiped, mine are in the vault and still make progress at the same rate. But yeah it's to slow.
