We have three ritual weapons this season that are all animals (Komodo, Buzzard, Python) and a sniper rifle called Trophy Hunter. I looked at all the new weapons as soon as the season started and thought that with names like that we'd have to get all three ritual weapons first then we'd get some sort of quest to unlock the Trophy Hunter but nope, just level up your season pass and get your gun. End of story, move on to the next thing. What they need to do is make getting all the ritual weapons each season more rewarding so people actually go get them. My brother didn't even bother getting Exit Strategy until this season just because he couldn't be bothered too since he hardly plays gambit. Everyone wanted pinnacle weapons because you'd get amazing guns but ritual weapons while good, just feel meh when you compare them to pinnacle weapons or other weapons that might have god-rolls. You get the ritual weapon to add them to your collection and that is it. No big NEED or big payoff when you get them and the moment you get a god-roll you'll toss it into the vault and only pull it when it serves whatever specific niche it'd fulfill then promptly toss it back to the pit. Now if there was some sort of special quest that unlocks that requires all 3 ritual weapons with a gun at the end of it then people would actually go after the new ritual weapons instead of just casually doing them as they do weekly strikes or the random crucible match because now there's a fancy new weapon at the end of the grind rainbow (kinda like complete a ritual to summon a daemon to kill sorta thing) Yes it'd be a grind to get this "4th" ritual weapon but at least your getting other guns along the way as you grind and doing activities instead of just doing the other grind of slowly leveling up your season pass and then DING you got gun in your mail! Gun rewards from the season pass are nice and fun but with this season having such a perfect opportunity to get people to actually go get the ritual weapons wasted makes me annoyed at having to grind levels to get a gun when I could be doing some sort of quest that requires me to go kill hundreds of enemies to get a gun.
