Having to grind grind grind for stuff that will be semi obsolete after a “season” doesn’t sound like fun 2 me so............yea Saint 14, Osiris, & Obelisk the Tormentor can all kick rocks

8 RepliesHere I am, the second week of the season, and already I'm like "Why bother upgrading armor? Better to save materials for NEXT season." That's bad game design.
-
7 RepliesHaving to grind for gear that in 3 months will be pretty much obsolete is just demoralizing. I've been playing loot driven games most of my gaming life, so I'm not afraid of a grind, quite the contrary infact. But when I'm grinding for gear that will be temporarily useful, my brain screams, " What's the point?". This is all exasperated by the fact they have RNG on RNG on RNG.

19 RepliesI don’t play anymore, but I still have the app on my phone, I open the forums every now and then to remind myself why I stopped playing. There is always some new exotic material you have to grind for to get something that is obsolete is a very short time.
-
Yeah... After I realised that, I'm thinking about just sticking with a basic drop set and upgrading that to my liking. I'll play around with the other stuff, but won't get too deep into it.
-
agree that this breaks a core gameplay loop supposed to just get a nice dopamine rush 'loot!' but now we get "loot but its gonna be worthless at season end in 1-8 weeks so is this really worth very much?" bungie is souring the gameplay loop with all these negative feedback systems
-
1 ReplyI guess I'm on crack to then because I love it. Take my money
-
3 RepliesJust checked the player tracing on steam and they have lost about 2/3 of the remaining players in the last three months so I would say the message of how seasonal content is going should be loud and clear.
-
If we had more ways to get upgrade parts and points to experiment with mods and builds it would be better.
-
I hear that
-
Yea, i dont think having to attempt to find a good stat roll, for 3 elements per slot, every 3 months is the best way. I feel like mods should be the focal point. Have seasonal mods that focus towards that specific content, that maybe go away at season end. I dunno. I havent even used the new stacks of light mods yet, mainly because the armor ive gotten for it has crap rolls...and you really dont need em anyway.
-
I'm just trying to get a set of armor for each element with a lot of Recovery and Intellect. The Seasonal mods mean nothing to me.
-
2 RepliesThis is a pretty silly opinion frankly. The seasonal mods are mostly there to spice things up, maybe meta test things for new exotics, maybe gameplay overhauls in the future, without permentally breaking the game. You don't have to grind anything. Get a piece of armour, get it to level 7, done. That's it. Damn, very struggle. Going beyond 7 is pointless unless you're keeping it forever. And the stuff this season is all gimmick mods, that are just there to make things different, and get feedback on what could work as a main mechanic. I haven't even used a seasonal mod, but that's cos I don't even have many of them unlocked. I'm sure at a point, I'll find something that fits my playstyle. I'll probably say "hey this combination is neat" and then either for the next main expansion in 2020 or a Destiny 3, they'll take that feedback when working on subclass design. Point is, it costs you nothing. You're just being an over emotional child over videogame loot. It's sad.

Then don’t ! Simples
-
Well otherwise they would actually have to produce content lol.
-
Who is telling you to grind new armor each season? Armor from last season is useful for Garden of Salvation and Nightmare Hunts, not obsolete. Armor this season will be useful for the new mods IF you want to use them. Keep in mind that the Mercury armor set has a slot for new mods, and that won't go away at the end of the season.
-
1 ReplyError in the title refrain from using “new” I prefer “recycled”, you grind for a set you already have!! Just for new mods!
-
2 RepliesWhat? You don't want to repeat yourself on pointless content every 3 months? Get rid of all your hardwork and forget that it ever happened every season cause almost all evidence of that time goes away because 'you had to be there'. But this season release is the best time Destiny has ever had.
Obviously being Sarcastic. This entire thinking for Destiny is terrible.
-
8 RepliesYea, it's not like the season pass gives you new armor with extremely high stats. Oh wait...
-
2 RepliesEdited by Fishyb: 12/18/2019 9:56:44 AMI still use my 1.0 Notorious set most the time. 2.0 was as I predicted a pointless grind to waste peoples time.
-
2 Repliesthey force the grind as a subsitute for actual content. Been with the game since Beta and it's always been this way
-
2 RepliesWith this error, the fact that mods can't be put on exotic weapons/armor, the amount of random bugs and glitches right now....I think Bungie is kinda making it up as they go.
-
That's for handing out high stat roll armor via the season pass that is worth masterworking.
-
1 ReplyThen don't?
-
3 RepliesThe Fiend you make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but,Omnigul is the last of Crota's generals. She is the architect of her master's wakening. As long as she lives, the threat of Crota's return will haunt this world. Track her down, and exterminate every Hive that stands in your way.
-
1 ReplyStop playing this game. Stop giving them your money.

Bungie is everything that can go wrong with anything fun and/or addictive.
