Why is XP so slow this season?
Was it somehow boosted at the end of last season? Because I did nothing but strikes and a few bounties a day, and got rank 35 or higher...playing only the last 2 weeks of the season
This season I notice strikes are not advancing it hardly at all, and the bounties I've done tons every day, more than last season, and I'm not even at 20.
I realize the season pass would help. But I've got a 10% xp ghost, which I didn't use last season at all...
Is this intentional?

Way slower. Hit 285 last season. Only played a few days this season as it’s just more reskins and horde mode but I definitely noticed the difference. Doubt I’ll even get to 100 this season as the game just seems to get worse and worse

Its definitely slower, I hit rank 95 by the end of the second week last season from farming bounties. I've doubled that effort this season and barely hit 75.

I think they changed it where you don't gain XP while doing getting kills on patrol.

2 RepliesHas to be intentional. XP felt perfect last season. But they want you playing and or buying levels by the end of the season. So XP is slower aka throttled... Again.

Maybe its bc there is less content so it feels slower. Im around 45 and i havent played allot

I’m over thirty now and have played maybe a total of twelve hours. Story and bounties. I have only done as of this moment right now maybe eight or nine strikes since the new season started.

Does feel slower. But then again when undying was here. You had vex offensive,Eris, and tower bounties to do. So could be that. I have yet to fill a page of bounties this season.

Probably ninja nerfed it. Less chance of hitting 100 means more kids buying levels at seasons end. Glad i didn't buy this pass.

1 ReplyIt feels faster this season. Last season, the 1st week I managed to hit rank 40. This time around, I managed to hit Rank 82 in the same timespan.

I thought the same and I’m using the 10% exp ghost.

Removed the shared wisdom bonus and increased the xp needed per level for the earlier artifact levels to reduce the latter levels amount of xp needed to give a more consistent feel but also makes early artifact progression take longer.

Just do what I did for next season... The weekend before I hoarded 25+ bounties on all 3 of my characters and just waiting for season of dawn to drop. Once I had my artifact turned in all my bounties and got to rank 15 instantly now only one week in and I'm already rank 33 without even really trying.

1 ReplyI'm not grinding my ass off like I did last season. I have a goal of 10 tiers per week, which I met this week, but the content is boring to me, and it took a lot of forced playtime to make 10. This might seriously be the end for ne for a while.

Did all ritual weapons and emblems, hit legend in comp, did some pinnacle gear and hit rank 33 on the pass. Feels right to me.

Played 3 days this week and I got to 39... dunno what you're doing wrong.

I'm at 22 already with 83 days left in the season..feels the same to me.
