burst glide un-nerf

I think im speaking for all of the Warlock mains when I say that burst glide is now garbage with this Nerf. We can't get around anymore with the Nerf.

  • I'm a Warlock main and even I thought the speed was a little ridiculous, but wtf they nerfed it to the original speed it was back in Year 1? Just like the second Nova Warp nerf in which they nerfed it BACK to the state it was in before it was buffed... Bungie doesn't understand that there's a middle ground. Yeah you can run Strafe Glide for the super speed but then you're using an inferior jump for the rest of the match when your super isn't active.

    • Apparently they overnerfed it, and somehow inadvertently transferred the boost it gave the Dawnblade Super to Strafe Glide.

      • The problem is when the game first came out they already categorized the three classes for game modes if they actually made more class diversity like d1 top tree nova and chaos reach would be better as for all classes being balanced.

      • I do feel for all you lock mains I have had zero desire to go to mine they really overdid it and just ruined it’s viability. Has the most vulnerable jump being you glide the most slowly and vertically.

      • Why would they do that? That would be making Warlocks better, something Bungie is diametrically (thanks Asher Mir) opposed to.

      • There is no reason to use bottom tree dawnblade now. Its neutral game has always sucked and now the only good part of the neutral game was its movement in its super. Supers take long to generate and now its only utility is dead. Top tree super has always been awful but you can now move faster.............with an awful super. Bungie really knows how to mess up Warlocks.

            • I don't main warlock, but as far as I remember, the nerf only hit dawnblades in their super, right? If so, I think the nerf was warranted. You're still fairly fast, and bottom tree tracks your targets and restores super energy on kill. In practice, it's still a bit too good with the tracking projectiles. Before, it was also basically impossible to kill a dawnblade because how fast and sporadic it's movements were. Now I feel it's more balanced, at least from the perspective of someone who's played against them a lot.

                Like dawnblade's weren't that difficult to counter in cruci i felt as a hunter main, and don't understand the nerf either. Its typical bungie tho since Vanilla D1. Nerf stuff no one asked for.

                  • I'm pretty sure they nerfed burst glide out of accident because it's horrible outside of dawnblade yet on the other subclasses they are just fine. But please god fix it cause now when I use any solar subclass, I move like I have 30 pound weights on each limb...it's not fair to have to consume a grenade just to get my mobility back and that only on attunement of sky

                        • Severe imbalance in characters. The Titan jump should be nerfed, they dish out so much damage in pvp and have so much control with their jump especially compared to warlocks. Combine that with the speed of Titan skating is if you see an incoming Titan you can’t do anything. As bulky and tanky as they are you’d think they’d be slower, which they should be. BUFF WARLOCK BURST GLIDE

                            There is no reason a super should be as fast as the old dawnblade and that is coming for someone with more time on warlock than anything else. You should not be able to circle the map twice with tracking projectiles, travelling at blistering speeds and wiping entire teams multiple times in one super. Ever since bottom striker’s health regen on kill was nerfed and super armour was nerfed across the board in shadowkeep, bottom dawnblade has been the clear dominant super in crucible because a super armour nerf won’t matter when you are going so fast. Something had to be changed and I think this was a good on Bungie’s end. Maybe the nerf was too harsh, but my point is something had to be done about it. The state of supers now feels great: You have to be smart when you use them and if you act like they are free multikill buttons that make you invincible like they were in year 2 then you WILL get shut down very very easily.
