Exo reboot vs. Ghost Resurection

I have no idea if this has been discussed, so forgive me, oh great internet if I tread on barren ground. If an Exo loses parts of their cognition and memory when they are rebooted (Banchee-44), how does the same not apply when they are resurrected by a ghost? Just had a late night thought that crept I to my head and this is how it wriggles free.

Exos are human consciousnesses implanted into mechanical bodies. The Exo project was started by the Clovis Bray corporation during the Golden Age, well before both the Collapse and the creation of Guardians by the Traveler. Being a human mind trapped in a mechanical body is a disconcerting situation. All the normal habits necessary to stay alive and healthy (eating, breathing, sleeping) are suddenly unnecessary. This causes the Exo to feel a sort of “disconnect” from their body. “Resseting/rebooting” an Exo was necessary when the human mind locked within became unable to cope with being in a mechanical body any longer, and began to “reject” the body. As the researchers at Clovis Bray grew more experienced with these Resets, they became aware of a degree of “degradation” of the human psyche that occurs with each subsequent Reset. As such they began encouraging the Exos they created to reenact the habits and mannerisms that they experienced as humans, leading to Exos eating, sleeping, and doing all kinds of things that were completely unnecessary for the survival of their bodies. This behavior was found to slow down the process that eventually led to the need to Reset to avoid Rejection... Although it failed to prevent it entirely. At some point the Exo program was discontinued and the still living Exos at that point were “retired”. When the Ghosts the Traveler sent out began resurrecting Guardians they used a somewhat loose definition of humanity, as they not only began resurrecting some Awoken, but the retired Exos began to return to life as well. Now it seems to me that the reason why the death and resurrection of an Exo doesn’t trigger the same degradation as a Reset does is that they are two different processes with different goals in mind. Resetting an Exo was a preventative measure meant to keep the mind from rejecting the body, undertaken only at such time as such rejection seemed imminent. Resurrecting a Guardian on the other hand happens after the Guardian has already died. Another point to keep in mind is that the act of Resetting an Exo was developed by human researchers at Clovis Bray, people who were doing their best but couldn’t be expected to come up with a flawless solution, even with Golden Age technology at their disposal. The Light of the Traveler, on the other hand, has what some have described as “paracausal” properties, meaning it allows Guardians to ignore the laws of physics and occasionally of causality itself. Thus the act of resurrection can ignore the symptoms of Resetting because the Light of the Traveler simply “ignores the rules” whenever it wants. All that aside, one would hope the devs don’t keep us waiting too long before we get more on the Deep Stone Crypt, the “long, slow whisper” and Enceladus. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)
