As you can see in the video, burst glide’s speed within the super and while using heat rises has been neutered to Nova Warp levels of pathetic. Ironically STRAFE glide somehow got an indirect buff and is now faster than burst glide ever was in the super and while using heat rises. This nerf was so unnecessary and makes no sense whatsoever, because it basically just swapped burst and strafe glides names, and brandished it as something new, except strafe glide is way faster than burst glide ever was especially with the new and improved Icarus Dash. So you have to really ask this question for the millionth billionth time again, “Bungie, wtf?”
I honestly think that they would have saved time and effort leaving burst glide the way it was since it never reached this level of Speedy Gonzalez ridiculousness, because now when the high skilled Warlock players start crushing it in the Crucible with this new build, everyone is going to start pissing and moaning for Dawnblade’s Speed to be nerfed.
What a ridiculous and completely idiotic oversight from the same company who couldn’t balance on their own two legs to save themselves.

Bungie Hates Warlocks
-
13 RepliesBumping too. Nothing about Warlocks is better except the single change of the melee. But even with that, it’s a net negative because of all the nerfs. I’m fed up with Bungie hating Warlocks so much.

5 RepliesYou look at all the buffs the other classes got that they didn't need take for instance the hunter skill knock em down as if hunters needed anymore help And let's not get started on another useless exotic they gave the warlock that will sit in the vault and never see the light of day
-
11 RepliesThey legit nerfed one of the warlocks jumps. Out of all the classes they thought warlocks needed a jump nerf. I'm still amazed Bungie can keep nerfing warlocks and then wonder why its the least played class in the game.
-
1 ReplyThey really screwed this up

4 RepliesThe best part about this? Strafe Glide synergizes with Attunement of Sky far more than it does the other two solar subclasses. The amount of control it gives you lets you literally fly around peoples' heads both with and without the super. Meaning it enhances the very "aerial superiority" they want the subclass to have. On top of that the kick it gives Icarus Dash seems to be greatly superior to the sputter that Burst Glide currently gives it. Giving the subclass a stronger means of maneuverability. If they hard nerf Strafe Glide like they did Burst Glide then they'll be directly harming a beneficial advantage for the very subclass they tried so hard to enhance with the updates.

Edited by WulfPak666: 12/13/2019 6:54:46 PMWhile they are at it, can y'all increase the blast radius or tracking on top tree Dawnblade too? Good God, I know why people always use bottom tree. The amount of times the projectile whifs or barely does any damage to people is infuriating. I've never had so many "wtf how is he not dead?!" Moments while using a super before.

Unnecessarily nerfing something stupid (cuz balance lulz) and unintentionally making something else even more broken is QUINTESSENTIAL Bungie. I cannot express strongly enough how completely unsurprised I am.
-
Edited by Madness Tus: 12/13/2019 1:56:37 PMThat's only if you're using strafe glide but it makes you very slow without using Heat rises or Daybreak. However, they should have made strafe glide speed the same as burst glide because what Bungie essentially did is "made a mess". Why? Because to be faster in Daybreak on both trees you need to use strafe glide which is a terrible addition to your neutral game and it hasn't been upgraded since Y1 of D2, again, unless you're using "Heat rises" which in my opinion is to much of a trade-off for a temporary benifit, then you gotta be switching jump abilities back n forth every game knowing that the menu on console takes years to open compare to pc its just not very praticle in my opinion.

Sure but base strafe glide out of super feels so damn slow. Now no matter what option we pick we have either terribly slow movement in super or out of it depending on what option we choose. Even Icarus dash during super feels pretty awkward.
-
They literally made it so you can go fast either in super OR normally, but not both. Stupid. Irritatingly stupid.

Bungie being Bungie.

Edited by Vampyr-IX: 12/14/2019 10:58:09 AMbungie keep this please

3 RepliesThey probably intentionally did that because it is only going to be with the top tree dodge mid super... think. And if people were not previously complaining about dawnblade they definitely wont now
-
It took a while to make dawn blade fun. Same as most warlock gear / abilities in crucible. I made a post on the new top tree (basically been laughed at higher up in the Comp ladder) the swords are good in close but harder to land when you get stompee hunters and players who are smart and run during supers. I still use the bottom tree and arc trees more than the dash. After ten games seriously giving it another shot..... I grew tired of been a duck and eating revoker / beloved shots and switched back to arc. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/254658125/0/0 That’s the link to the post.

6 Repliesas a titan i am downvoting this post to make sure this doesnt get nerfed, you warlocks need something to survive
-
I don’t get why they had to neuter the super length in pve tho, I almost never want to use the super with top tree cause it barely does enough damage to kill trash mobs and it doesn’t last long at all in a fight
-
I kinda like what they did , the addition of double Icarus makes rushing and avoiding more possible, the melee is surprisingly good , but the amount of potential utilized with top tree dawn blade is going exceed once there are more exotics built for it, on the pve side I can see a potential ac130 build with grenade launchers trace rifles and maybe the sweet business
-
Eh I personally don't mind it since I can still surf out of super and in super I'm not suddenly in Asia when I wanted to tour France
-
-
The nerf was needed for bottom tree. It was lightning speed, and because of that speed, the tracking was amazing
-
Doesn't sound like a bad thing.
-
Shhhhh don’t let them find out. I’m coming to realization that nothing was okay tested this season. There are so many broken things right now
-
That's really strange. I noticed balanced glide was better after the change, but I just thought it was a fix to how it previously acted just like strafe glide. I assumed burst glide did slightly more than that. In my opinion, they should just enhance what the glide already does while in the super. Burst glide should get a stronger burst of momentum, while strafe glide should get faster momentum over longer glides. Balanced glide should be a mix of those two.

2 RepliesWe all remember Titan skating and how it got out of hand in crucible right? Welcome to a warlock skating meta crossing the map 10 times before it runs out

Delete this dude. This is how things get nerfed.
