Every time I start destiny, the video settings revert to a custom settings. These are not the settings I had before the patch, I tried setting to what i had before but they revert back to a custom setting i never set before when i restart the game.

Updating the nvidia's graphics card driver fixed this for me

Edited by BNGHelp6: 12/10/2019 7:21:24 PMHi. Thanks for your report. EDIT: We're currently investigating this issue.
-
A fix here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/254664478?sort=0&page=0 :)
-
Somebody should file a class action suit against any developer who releases a game/expansion/dlc with major bugs and can't fix it in a day or two. lol
-
PLEASE FIX THIS. Sucks with a capital SUCKS.
-
Man I thought there was something up with my PC. I event went and uninstalled the Nvidia experience app and reset some settings in the regular Nvidia settings. Glad I found this post.
-
same dude i've been having problems pretty much with all settings not saving and problems with looting as i dont get anything out of public events chests and some quests are not progressing like simple get solar kills in strikes its just stuck at 6 kills no matter how many kills i get, all this started happening after the new patch. bungoo gotta fix this

Edited by kizza: 12/11/2019 12:55:59 PMTry this its working for me (Sorry its a bit tedious) go to AppData\Roaming\Bungie\DestinyPC\prefs Delete cvars.old and cvars.tmp if its the there Open the cvars file and change : <cvar name="force_auto_detect" value="8" /> (make sure it says 0) then save it. Run Destiny go to your video settings and change them to your settings and close the game. Go to AppData\Roaming\Bungie\DestinyPC\prefs Delete the cvars.old/tmp if there, and open the cvars file again. Change <cvar name="force_auto_detect" value="8" /> again (Put the 8 to 0) Then file/save and close it, Then right click the cvars go to properties and check read only Now open the game again it should give you the settings you don't want again just close the game. Go back to AppData\Roaming\Bungie\DestinyPC\prefs and open the cvars again <cvar name="force_auto_detect" value="8" /> this should be 0 now automatically Now go through the others and change them : 0=off/low Save and close Right click and check read only. Now you should have your custom settings everytime you load the game.

I'm getting horrible FPS drops and intense screen tearing, yet I have never had screen tearing on this game nor do I have it with any other game. Anyone else? It's making me not want to play.
-
Same I have to change it from fullscreen to windowed fullscreen everytime I start it now
-
I am having this same problem. Setting the internal resolution to 200%, turning off motion blur, and setting to fullscreen borderless. It forgets every time.
-
That something like this can get past quality control and then sit in the game for a week or more without a fix is why I don't give bungie money anymore. This is clearly not a priority to them and therefore my QOL as a customer is not a priority.
-
For me, only two settings are reverted back whenever I restart the game: 1. Motion Blur - I want it off, but it keeps turning itself on. 2. Framerate cap - I want it on and set to 120fps, but it keeps turning itself off. Obviously, the first one is most annoying.
-
Same every time I restart the game I have to change the video settings. They keep resetting to default every time I close destiny 2.

Edited by Týr-Skadi: 12/15/2019 4:19:50 PMSame here. Video settings now suck, and stuck, so cannot save new settings. I'm wearing glasses now, due to bad quality graphics. Please fix this. I don't want to wear glasses yet. Also the mouse pointer is so sensitive now that my character walked out of my screen. I'm still searching and looking for it. It must be somewhere in this room. It is hiding for me i guess and now i cannot play. Boohoo.
-
same for me and it's really -blam!-in annoying

Edited by DodgeyDoyle: 12/15/2019 1:04:16 PMJust want to add to this, along with the video settings mentioned, my HDR settings are forced on and it washes out the colour (as I'm using display port 1.2), and it lowers my video settings to what I think are Geforce Experience optimised despite having this option unchecked. GT73VR 6RE Windows 1909 Sli 1070 6820hk Raid 0 256gb NVME

This is also affecting me
-
Same problem for me. Keeps putting motion blur on and changing back to Fullscreen -_-
-
Same problem here. I downloaded the game again, but it didn't works. I'm waiting for a solution to fix that.
-
Edited by Richie: 12/12/2019 5:13:12 AMFor me, I set Motion Blur to off and when I restart the game it gets set back to on again. I made a video for it but now I see there's a megathread about it. I guess it still doesn't hurt to provide a video so that they know what's going on. Video

I too am having this issue. Thought it was GeForce so I googled how to manually set the settings and found this thread.
-
Let's put it in a way that actually makes Bungie care: "Bungie! The graphics settings are preventing me from logging in and buying silver at Eververse! Please halp, this is an emergency!"
-
It gets worse when HDR is involved. Its messed up all the settings.. ALL OF THEM
-
Should be fixed in around three months just in time for next season (since it's not Eververse related).
