It’s a pretty bad method to get people to play as opposed to just, you know..... making engaging content with high replay value in the first place. I didn’t think they could find a way to make the game and fanbase more divisive and yet..... here we are. Destiny has to hold the record for a game not knowing what it is or wants to be for this long. It tries to be too many things at once and goes through too many changes too frequently. If it could have been what they said it was going to originally be from the beginning and they didn’t turn it into this rigid, impractical, cyclical model with reusing assets and now time gating, I can only imagine what we’d be paying right now. Luckily the $10 price tag is reasonable enough even if one does miss some content in a season. Not really worried about the money as much as I am the experience though. It’s hard to play the game not constantly be reminded of what it COULD be.
