So i recently had noticed in the middle of playing that aim assist was just completely not working. This occured in both PVE and PVP.
The symptoms were such that mid match i could no longer land shots either hip firing or ADSing. Absolutely no reticle stickyness and reticle would have to be perfeclty aligned with zero deviation and gave zero aid in following movement. This was with a number of different weapons and archetypes.
Now I will admit i am not great in PVP but this was a very noticeable change and also noticed in PVE.
I would prob normally chalk this up to a bad night or bad server connection but this is dif from that.
I believe this is related to my controller and more specifically the rechargeable (NiMH) batteries used. These particular batteries will show full charge on xbox screen until they just comp die. During one of these instances i put in a fresh charged bat and immediately everything back to normal. I should point out that this in no way feels like an issue with controller lag or response issues due to low bats. Problem is that all the sudden every shot has to be very meticulously aligned to point of almost impossability.
Anyway long story short; On Xbox One S aim assist totally not working at times. Believe it to be related to (NiMH) rechargeable batteries in wireless controller as after a few test the problem is non existant with either freshly charged Bats or standard AA Bats.
Wondering if this something only i am experiencing? Could the console shut down aim assist because console is picking up controller as a generic input or even mouse type input device during this scenario? Is that even possible on XBox One S.
