hey
so... I'm rather indecisive between Hard Light and Monte Carlo.
Monty is a lot of fun with the melee skill reload and the damage buff, but Hard Light competes with no damage fall off and a lot of versatility.
what I like about monty is, that it is a solid kinetic auto and frees the energy slot for a lot of versatility in terms of weapon choice
hard light on the other hand limits the weapon choice to the kinetic slot (will be perfect paradox anyways with the next season xD)
what is your opinion regarding those auto rifles? what do you prefer for PVE?

Monte Carlo all the way baby. Not only does it look super sexy (to the point of me not needing any ornament), but it synergizes perfectly with all of my melee based builds, one of them being Monte CarloGang, where i use Monte Carlo to regen my melee almost instantly so I can use Doomfang’s perk to regen my super insanely quickly.

Monte Carlo. Bungie took what was a really good exotic AR in Destiny 1, and actually managed to make it EVEN better. It synergizes extremely well with melee builds. Hard Light is a weapon that has always had potential, but has never managed (ever) to live up to it.

Monte all the way!!

Monte Carlo is the better option for me because of Hardlight’s screen shake.
-
Neither But that’s me have fun with your biuild and play style

If hard light's ricochet could be better predicted and did something like 4x instead of 2x, it'd be a lot closer. With things like rampage and swashbuckler in the legendary pool, hard light is not in a very good spot.
-
Monte Carlo is much better, the damage is really good and it synergizes well with melee builds. The range on Hard-Light doesn’t matter because the screen shake prevents you from hitting your shots most times.
-
Hardlight sucks, even with its catalyst, which i also have, montecarlo all the way, the only wep that could compete with monte is suros, and mostly if you start shooting before engaging.
-
In both PvE and PvP, Monte Carlo is going to win. Hands down. Hardlight just doesn’t really do anything.
-
monte/peregrine ftw!

Hard Light is the one gun I've wanted to like since the first time I got it in Destiny 1. I've tried and tried but in the end, between the screen shake and the tracer rounds along with all the other screen shake and explosion effects D2 relies on I've had to Vault it. I really like the Monte Carlo and Suros for pve all around. All the D2 Exotic Autos have felt gimmicky to me and I rarely use any of them.

Monte for the win . Hard lights screen shake is awful. I loved both headlight and Monte in d1 but the d2 version of hard light just isn’t worth the slot .

Edited by Swiftlock: 12/8/2019 1:40:57 PMHard Light rubs me the wrong way for one reason. The screen shaking like there's an earthquake whenever you fire the stupid thing. The catalyst does NOTHING to stop the screen shaking. It becomes tiresome to look at. Monte Carlo wins by a landslide for me since you can keep your melee constantly ready while taking advantage of the damage buff to mow down mobs. Hard Light eats your energy AND exotic slot for some utility, but I find myself getting better use out of a kinetic primary + energy special.

Edited by Lumis: 12/8/2019 1:32:30 PMMonte Carlo: You can use this to charge your melee ability extremely fast. With this weapon, you don't even have to invest points in the Strength stat. Expect to see it a lot in PVP after Tuesday. Extremely useful in all PVE activities. Hard Light: Screeeen shaaaake!!!
