Titanfall 2 is kinda boring imo

I’m like 4 hours into the campaign, but honestly I don’t have much of a desire to keep going. The story is very meh so far. The movement, despite what a lot of you said, is extremely similar to Black Op 3, which I’m not particularly fond of. The platforming sections are kind of annoying, I was never fond of first person platforming. The gunplay feels pretty much the same as every other shooter, though it’s not helped by the fact that none of the weapons seem to stand out from one another. They’re all just kinda boring. There isn’t anything super unique or memorable. Using the Titan is fun but it’s not a very large part of the game. As for the pvp, I haven’t really played it. I spent like 20 minutes in a private Attrition match by myself but that’s it. But because I don’t really care much for the gunplay of movement I doubt I’ll enjoy it very much. Overall I’m bored of it already. I don’t think it’s a bad game, but I also don’t really think it’s anything special. Oh well. At least I didn’t spend money on it. Thanks to everyone that gave me info about it. Especially Kellygreen. It’s just not for me.

  • I really enjoyed Titanfall 2 when it first came out. Its really just a barren wasteland now.

    • Sad to hear you didn’t enjoy it. In a way, I should have seen this coming. In many ways, the campaign has been overhyped. It’s a great campaign, when you are comparing it to other FPS’s ( ie. you are grading it on a scale ), but at the end of the day, it’s still an FPS campaign. Also, most of that hype comes from the “Effect and Cause” level, which is very, very clever, but is only 1 level.

The movement really shines when you master it. The game runs on Source Engine, and it becomes a lot more fun when you take advantage of that.

        • I finished the campaign. While it was pretty good I was a little disappointed. People rave about it so I was expecting more. Maybe the people who like it are comparing the campaign to the usual multiplayer focused games like battlefield and CoD. If that’s the comparison then yes I agree it was probably better than those. But it wasn’t that great compared to your usual single player focused games (like Uncharted or Dishonored or something). As far as the multiplayer goes I found it a little boring after half a dozen games or so. Not bad but not enough to keep me playing. I’m not really a multiplayer guy though so maybe I’m not the best judge. Best bit of the game was the time swapping bits. I’d like to see a whole game built around that mechanic.

          • I beat the campaign. Stopped playing, then played multiplayer which is the best part of the game for me.

          • I feel like I like it so much because of how much time I’ve had in the multiplayer, otherwise yeah I can understand that.

          • Didn’t think you’d like it much. As I said, it kinda just feels like every shooter ever.
