I think this could be really powerful with sunbracers. The ranged melee took out a cyclops in the trailer which would activate sunbracers and give you roughly 4-5 grenades depending on if you want to save one to reactivate heat rises later. So if skill is applied you can loop melee and grenades permanently while in the air and weapons havent even been used yet. You can use the super for backup and a rift will be there just incase you do need to ground yourself. On its own i can see this build being weak, but with sunbracers i can see it being alot of fun

I was actually thinking it was going to be a bit on the OP side of things. I don’t think the player they had on the stream plays a warlock much. Very little time spent in air and only one dash used. I’m reserving judgement until I can test it out.

NOT TO MENTION, that our secondary subclass changes don't seem comparable to the buffs others have gotten. Missile titans will get a damage buff to thundercrash. The invisibility from hunter grenades will have a 0.8 sec time window where firing will not break cloaking. Whereas for warlocks, the fxs of handheld supernova will be adjusted to match the charge time. In other words, titans and hunters got improvements, and warlocks got a CORRECTION.

2 RepliesWhat I said the day it was annonced, its anerf to make other options more appealing. Take the slowest class and stick 'em in the air! It may be a viable 'build' but I dont think the majority will be able to pull it off. Devs on the stream certainly couldnt.

We will see. I don't feel the new changes will make much difference. Warlocks aren't the best PvP character in general and the maps rarely support the ability to get higher than foes anyway. Hunters with stompee boots will still dominate the scene. Husk and eye mask are better than all of the current warlock exotics also.

10 RepliesThis is where theorycrating and build strength come in. If you want to leverage these abilities and use your grenade in combat, theen you need to: 1. Spec heavily into Discipline, so your nades recharge faster. 2. Mod your armor to synergize with a fast grenade recharge. 3. Wear an exotic armor piece that will also sunergize with either faster grenade recharge or ability recharge.

2 RepliesLol. Another low tier player thinking they know a lick about game balance. Take it from a lock main who ACTUALLY knows their way around the comp scene and has made it to 5500 before this season on a warlock (really? A 1.0 KD??). Warlock was already in a good spot and will be even better after Tuesday. I cannot help that warlock has a higher skill ceiling then other classes but the least you could do is MASTER your class before spewing garbage balance ideas.
