What is the point of the gear is it will all universally have bad stats. It might as well be blue gear cause it’s worthless. Grind adventures for tangled shore armor. Drops at 49. Do ep gear is 52. Why even bother.

77 RepliesArmor 2.0 was basically a nerf in disguise.

I actually had boots drop at 59 today when I completed my flashpoint. My best or highest rolls were pinnacle drops during IB. I’ve masterworked the best rolls on the set. Highest drop was a helmet at 65. I have 3 really solid builds. One for each subclass. Once you get to the point of having solid rolls over 60, 2.0 is better. With that said it’s a lot of work to get there.

They're a source for legendary shards.
-
What If each planetary armor piece was an earnable reward? 1 universal ornament piece per week and it would be 1 of the planetary armor set earned by doing the flashpoint on your character encouraging you to get your flashpoints every week... or even only after getting all your planetary triumphs down first or something.

2 RepliesSad thing is that you only get best stuff from raid. but all you get in raid are energy weapons or boots.
-
Agreed. I get nothing but low stats. Even from the pit! It's rarer then an exotic when I get a stat above or at 60
-
3 RepliesEdited by J.Ko: 12/4/2019 8:48:24 AMI will use lower stats items if stat distribution fits my build. I often using mid 50 gear instead if 60+. Why use 25 mobility item with rest values 7 when i want 100 recovery and intelect high as much as possible
-
Agreed. I think that is the biggest problem in the game right now. The game is very poorly tuned for armor stat farming. Stats for the Moonbane Armor and VO armor sets are so consistently bad, that its clear they're being throttled. Stats for open-world drops are "okay"....but the real problem is that stats for gear dropped in the most difficult content aren't any better in any consistent way. So we're stuck in a "Grind the whole game, and hope to get lucky" mode...which is actually lessening my desire to play. Because----except for Iron Banner----virtually every armor drop that I get now is a throw away. That needs to change.
-
2 RepliesDude the masterworked armor from the dungeon drops low also. I got have gotten 5 chests across 6 runs all arc snd the highest being 61. Fuxking terrible and i fully agree with you. I am up to 9k legendary shards because everything is just shards. Nothing worth keeping. I love the forge armor on the titan but that shit drops at 55 highest so far. Total waste.

What's the highest you can get? 52 base?

9 RepliesComing from bl3 Destiny can feel pretty generous

5 RepliesI mean, as others have stated, open world drops should not give the highest stats in the game. Those should be reserved for higher level activities. Just my thoughts.
-
4 RepliesRng and keeps it a grind If they gave you a god roll ever drop, the game would be dead already...
-
6 RepliesAll that grinding just to get worthless gear 90 percent of the time......

2 RepliesI'm still holding out hope that there is a tiny chance a legendary will drop with 100% in all stats. I know, this is Bungie we're talking about, but who knows... maybe someone there actually knows what a reward really looks like.
-
I think that’s the point though. Harder activities rewards a higher chance at the best rolled loot. New raid consistently gives the best armor as it should. I get what your saying but it’s the same argument as people wanting blues to not drop or auto breakdown. High numbers doesn’t mean good. Depends on your build so having things drop with the right rolls helps. Just masterwork it...
-
Actually so glad I still have my 1.0 armour still on hunter and titan, hasn't affected my playstyle whatsoever. 2.0 is just an abject failure. Really hoping they'd address 2.0 shortcomings, but it'll be too late again.
-
This is how Bungie promotes their expansions ;) If you want the good lootz, you have to pay up...
-
Agreed. Worthwhile armour rolls are far too scarce.

2 RepliesEdited by NVMYGT: 12/3/2019 11:53:41 PMI got an EP helmet on my Warlock that dropped a base stat roll of 45. 45 for Endgame content is ridiculous low, I get blues to drop at 52. I had a fully masterworked pinnacle Dreambane boots from Pit of Heresy drop at 49 base. Why is this a thing? Pinnacle, raid, EP, Pit, all endgame activity drops should drop a base mid 60's+ stat roll
-
Armour 2.0, other wise know as were going to shit on all your old good armor sets.
-
2 RepliesPretty much every drop in the game outside of iron banner an raids is auto dismantle as its 54 an below stats.

Edited by NickColaTesla: 12/3/2019 6:31:44 PMArmor 2.0 is a joke anyways. Not like stat roles matter anyways. Unless you want that clutch .0017910 second grenade recharge rate on that 4th kill you get against a roaming super.
-
Oh come on, you don't want a 49 power chest piece?
-
Edited by Lull9: 12/4/2019 3:52:58 AMEvery armor piece should have the CHANCE to drop with a high stat roll. (Even if the chance is/(should be) low for world drops.) Most of the world pieces are less desirable aesthetically and have no seasonal mod slot. There's no need to make them completely worthless as most people are still going to be chasing more "useful"/attractive/new armor anyway.

6 RepliesI think the main issue with the new armors is the amount of stats we get Most of the builds just care about 3 stats, so each point "invested" on the other stats gets wasted I think we should be able to play with stats like 10-10-5-0-0-0 or 8-8-8-0-0-0 Few (3/4 tiers) more with raid armors I suggest make each armor a max 3 stat drop That would make everything easier
