Thanks for the report. Do you have a video showing any specific environments where you're having difficulties?
Crucible maps, strikes, raids, etc?

I'm not colorblind AND I HAVE ISSUES with the lightning of maps TOO. When can we finally get support for the nvidia graphic filters so I can fukn tune down the goddamn bloom and brightness in pvp?
-
It's most prevelient in crucible. I myself struggle when the radar falls again the background that is near the same color it just becomes a big blur to me at this point. I'll have to look about but I'm sure I can find some clips or images I can use to show

Ok cosmo

is this the destiny version of the boomer meme?

You're not Cosmo 🤔

While the poster did say radar in general he did not specify any one particular thing. So yes dmg’s reply was inaccurate. But to be fair he wasn’t asking for how the poster perceived colour. But rather what parts were the worst. So I don’t think it’s fair to pick him apart for that. Although yes there are flaws with dmg’s reply
-
This reply is either a generic template or just plain ignorant. What the poster sees will be totally different to you. Whatever they supply, you will not be able to see what they are seeing. Unless you find another colour blind person (with the exact same colour blindness) to look over it. Further more, there are thousands or millions of different background combination to colour settings and brightness, how are you going to make sure all scenarios are able to be visible to OP? Or....just let us pick the colours?
-
Why can’t there simply be a setting to make the radar background opaque? Surely it’s more over complicating to try and establish which environment colour palettes distort all the different colour blindness afflictions isn’t it?
-
As a colour blind person myself who also struggles, I would like to know how the poster can give you a video of how he perceives colour. Or is your reply just COPY PASTE
-
They don't need to see it the same way the color blind person sees it. Just know the background areas and the color blind setting being used. Also for all we know employees at Bungie are color blind with the same settings and just haven't noticed. Never know. With how little information the OP gave, all DMG is asking for is more information to help deduce what can be changed.
-
Why can't we have more contrast to the radar? Sometimes I can hardly see the red? I am color blind but I'm not sure if this matters?
-
As someone else said all you need to do is remove the opacity of the radar on the colourblind options

Edited by Cosmic Owl: 12/3/2019 2:25:33 AMImo it’s most problematic in Crucible. It needs to be brighter and more opaque. Ideally we would have some control over it as well as a bit more control over radar color. I’m not colorblind but it’s still quite difficult to notice team mate position. When I glance over to the radar I have to let my eyes adjust for a second to see where people are.
-
I posted about this as well. I’m not colorblind but there are certain areas that are too bright and drown out the radar color. I think making the red more solid and dark would help.

I dont know how much a video would help, but hand cannon reticles are extremely hard for me to see almost all the time. My specific colorblindness is Tritanopia, and the in game filter works great for item rarity, but it doesn't do much for reticles. Also, is it considered cheating if I bought a gaming monitor that projects custom crosshairs?

Those guys get banned fast Edit: Cross hair options should have been a thing since day one.

It's not cheating, people put dots on their screens all the time. There's even products you can buy that put basically a red dot laser type reticle on your screen.
-
It'd be cheating if it provided an unfair advantage. Using a monitor that allows you to see the reticle? Like everyone else? They'd need to be legitimately brain-dead to flag you as a cheater.
-
Wait how is that cheating
-
I don't really think it is cheating. I've heard people call it into question though, and I'd just like an official answer you know?
-
Oh yeah I don’t blame you
