Is it normal for only one of the two get pinnacle drops? My second Warlock gets no pinnacles from activities I completed on my first Warlock. I've always had one of each since D1 and I figured I'd speed up the grind a little with two of the same toon but it seems to have had the opposite effect.

Pinnacle and Powerful drops are class wide rather than character. I would recommend having one of each class since having two of the same is basically a waste.

4 RepliesYes, having 2 the same means the game gives you 1 drop it thinks it is the same character. It is totally pointless to have 2 the same this changed in D1. 1 of each and they are then each gets the drop.

i've never used my hunter clone, but i'm pretty sure Bungie sucked the fun out of having multiples since D2's launch.

You deserve that for having 2 of the same class. I have seen a guy with 3 hunters though.

Yes, so you can't subvert the power climb by having clones.

2 RepliesThat worked in year 1 of D1 then they changed it.

Its been like that since D1

Yeah. Only one character of the same class gets pinnacle drops. This was put in place to prevent the insane power boosting you can achieve from having three of the same class. It kinda levels the playing field for everyone attempting content at drop. Players who play on all three will still have an advantage, but they won't be at max power.
