Sources for acquiring "old" gear
I have needed Scatterhorn hands and chest, on my Titan, for the last four weeks, to get the Destination Dreaming City badge.
The gear says "rank up packages from Spider", but obviously he doesn't do things like that. So the internet says to do his bounties.
So, on my titan, for the last four weeks (just finished the 4th run through of all of them right before making this post) I have done all the Spider bounties and haven't gotten a single piece of gear I need, let alone [b][i]ANY[/i][/b] gear at all... Not any purple gear, or even blue.
So my question is this. Does RNG hate me so much that I can't even get ANY gear, or is there some new place to get the Scatterhorn gear that I don't know about? I'd like to get this out of the way, cause I'd finally get the Cursebreaker title if this darn gear was to be found

I never got an Old Fashioned Hans Cannon back in Y1. Still have never gotten one in god knows how many engrams and packages over picked up since. RIP.

I get shitty scatterhorn gear from time to time and insta-delete it. It seems to come from flashpoints as well.

Killong enemies with the title WANTED has chance to drop Scatterhorn armour/weapons. Certain lost sectors have wanted bosses, and there's usually one in every year 1 & 2 strike.

All pieces are in different places. I get the class item during some nessus strike all the time. And the helmet somewhere else constantly

Edited by ToRni27: 11/25/2019 3:24:50 PMSpider Bounties do not give gear since Shadowkeep anymore. They did in Forsaken Year 2 but with Shadowkeep they removed it in Year 3. I don't understand it either. Was a good way to get a set together and farm it for good stats and roles. Now its totally uninteressting to do those bounties. Only if you need 2-3 cores or glimmer or XP. Have fun!

RNG is RNG, scatterhorn gear DOES drop from his bounties along with general world drops. Its part of the legendary loot pool. Remember just as RNG can grant infinite ability to get what you want, it also grants the infinite ability to NEVER drop what you want.

Id try PE on tangled shore and lost sector runs. Maybe do strikes on TShore as well... Visit cryptarch. A-hool usually gives me those. "May rngesus be kind to you.."

7 RepliesDo his target bounties not drop scatterhorn gear anymore? I'm sure they used to. Not his normal bounties, the ones you need ghost fragments for. Also gunsmith's 10 bounty completion reward can give scatterhorn armour
