Don't shoot me because my opinions different, but heres what I have to say. the heavy economy sucks. not even 2 minutes in and I already have 300+ rounds on 21% delirium. thats saying something. Another thing is that I played a match where there was a guy with truth. He invaded with it EVERY SINGLE TIME. he got over 30 kills just using truth. This would mean that he would have had to used 30 rockets in one match. I don't want truth nerfed. I just want heavy to just be less plentiful. like maybe we should take away the heavy that auto spawns?

1 ReplyGambit prime is also horrible to lop sided invasion portals. One team gets portals back to back while the other team is lucky to get 4

Edited by Jvp WReNCh: 11/27/2019 1:17:02 PMShoot him because his opinion's different! I don't like how inconsistent the heavy ammo economy is. Some games it rains from the heavens, & other times I don't get any without picking up the bricks on the walls.
-
Trumpy come home
-
Ya. Some rounds I get nothing while other times I get at least 2 bricks
-
Rng. Taken armaments needs to be banned though because those endless-truth invaders ALWAYS use that mod which gives them unlimited heavy.
-
or make it the ONLY heavy. that way it has some control. Other wise if I just use the Heavy finisher and y1 armor covered in heavy ammo finder and even some scav perks I'll have an ENORMOUS advantage over people without it.
-
Heavy skews matches. Plain and simple. Get a lot of heavy? Good invasions, good invader kills, solid melt. Easy. Get no heavy? You're screwed. Cause you're gonna use your special and then run out of that too.
-
He’s not Heavy, He’s your brother.
-
Edited by T-Cal-EL: 11/25/2019 10:05:39 PMIt only gets worse. There’s an infinite heavy ammo glitch now 😂

1 ReplyOld news. Heavy and special have ran rampant for ages in this franchise. The game practically encourages people to build “”””””””playing styles”””””””” around them. Gambit is the most egregious example of why this game’s player to player experience feels more like you’re trying to cheese your way into killing an opponent, rather than genuinely outplaying them.
-
PvE mods affecting the PvP side of gambit. We have taken, hive, and fallen armaments. Not too terribly hard to get heavy. Least that’s what I use when I hate myself enough to play gambit
-
You can kill more then one person per rocket hell killed whole team before with one rocket they were bunched up and all died was very shocked but pleased
-
It depends on the heavy you run and the perks. Heavies that hold lots of ammo such as swords and machine guns seem to get heavy drops much more often than rockets or grenades. Also if your running rocket ammo finder plus scavenger perks you'll get much more ammo and reserves perks seem to buff drops rates as well.
-
everybody knows this, but the problem is bungie cares as much as the twab's have to say about gambit, which is 0 in over a year.

5 RepliesHeavy is not the problem. People running with 15 motes, not paying attention to clear indicator telling you when invade is about to happen, and not focusing solely on killing invader when s/he is around .. is the problem.
-
Agreed. Heavy ammo economy is awful and one of the biggest reasons why Gambit as a whole is horrible. You have ads that can drop heavy, which is often more than what you get from the synthesizers, and you have mods/weapon perks to either increase the amount of ammo per brick or the frequency at which they drop. Unlike in crucible, dying doesn't drop your Heavy either. Basically, it becomes very easy to hoard large amounts of it and there's absolutely no risk from holding onto it for long periods of time. Once you get it, you get to keep it until you use/waste it, or the round ends, whichever comes first. Personally, I think death should drop a part of your heavy without any chance at retrieval. This means that once you get it, you better use it wisely especially with normal Gambit bull- shenanigans at play. This also makes invasions more risky (and perhaps even less frequent) for both sides since they're at risk for losing more ammo from being outplayed. We can reevaluate it after that to see if it's still an ongoing problem.

4 RepliesEdited by Caggus: 11/24/2019 11:54:05 PMHeavy ammo’s economy is what makes Gambit as bad as it is. There’s no fun in an invader rocking up with Truth (like you said), Hammerhead, 1K Voices or other weapons that take virtually no effort to use. The invasion frequency is too high and the weapons they can use are too strong. Truth is a death sentence once the invader looks in your general direction. Gambit would see a lot more attention if the heavy ammo economy was altered so it wasn’t as common as it currently is. Being forced to rely on your primary and special weapons sounds a hell of a lot more fair for the other team than javelin rockets that will follow you until hell freezes over. It will also make it so you actually earn your 4 kills if you get it rather than holding down R2 while half asleep.
-
the reason why that happened is because of the armament mods.
-
6 RepliesDisable armaments and any way for it to drop in the field. I think it must come from the wall.
-
I agree completely. I normally invade with Taken Armaments and Rocket Launcher Scavenger active. I never run out of heavy. One of my other buddies does the same thing (I think he is #1 for Gambit wins on Xbox) and has near 15,000 kills on a Roar of the Bear.
-
3 RepliesHonestly don’t know where u got the patients from to get that weapon. It’s annoying getting invaded with people using truth all the time. Is there reduced damage to your weapons in gambit or is it me? When I’m shooting ads feels like I’m only pinching them
-
1 ReplyHave the opposite problem myself. Ill play a match and its practically raining heavy bricks for myself and my teammates. Then there’ll be 5+ matches in a row where the only heavy ammo we can get is the drip feed from wall spawners. Its not even the pvp aspect of heavy that bothers me, more of the fact that without heavy ammo for EITHER team the prime evil fights at the end of a round are tedious, dull, and drawn out as both sides plink away at envoys with smaller weapons fire and the occasionale super :/
-
Taken armaments
-
Heavy ammo economy in gambit def needs fixing, but until then a trick to survive a truth shot is to hold onto your super and activate it right before you get hit. Unlike wardliff and some other rocket launchers, truth isn't very good at punching through super armor and while in it you only loose like half of your health per shot.
-
People who use truth in Gambit are losers.
-
They need to increase Talon Ammo on heavy pickup 👍
