DMG, why is feedback always asked for but never acted upon

This post could go on forever but let’s touch the major topics that have ended with DMG saying he will pass this information along to the dev team: 1. Get rid of nerfs. Your response “more nerfs”. This is really not even a horrible one for me because I do understand the need of balance. I guess what does not match up is why can’t we just balance most things for the sake of PVP? I actually like PVP but would not be opposed to a separate weapon set for PVP and PVE. It also difficult to match this balancing with PC players versus console players. 2. Get rid of masterwork cores for upgrading weapons. Your answer: we will change their name twice and now make it even more costly to infuse weapons. I never heard anyone say can we make it more costly to infuse or masterwork weapons or armor. This move actually seems like a revenge move on Bungie’s part. The people that are going to play this game for many hours will still do it without you punishing them to do so. 3. Can we please access bounties from the menu.? Your response is this: No but we can put the eververse store accessible from the menu. I don’t participate in micro transactions on a game that I have invested so much money in. It has nothing to do with means just more about principal. I really think that free to play gamers should have an entire different eververse experience than those who actually invested lots of money in this game already. I am all about increasing player base. I just don’t think that people that have already invested lots of money being the people that are asked to finance this endeavor. 4. Make strike specific loot. Bungie: here are a couple of more blues to clog up your postmaster. 5. Give us more content. Bungie: making content is hard. Now I am about as far as you can get from a content creator but you have made some great things. There were so many “wow” moments in D1. I know that many people will just say that is just nostalgia talking. There used to videos of people earning a vex mythoclast, fatebringer, or gjallarhorn. Do those videos still exist?? Maybe 1000k voices but that is all I think that even comes into the same stratosphere. 6. What is the road map for next season. Bungie: we have some great nerfs headed your way. Again not banging on the nerfs but I have no idea what I spent my money on except a couple of nerfs. This very long post or rant if you want to call it that only comes from the fact that we don’t just want these suggestions to be passed onto the development team. Most people would like to see action. Your company and mine both send out satisfaction surveys. The joke at my company is why bother? Nothing will be done anyway. This is the environment that Bungie has created. I think I would stop asking for feedback at this point if I were you guys.

  • Probably because DMG is a community manager and has no power over what the developers do, he can really only relay information. Because, well, you know, he's not a dev.
