Curated Hammerhead still worth it? (vs Edgewise)
Hi
today i was lucky enough to finally get a curated Hammerhead
ist feeding frenzy/rampage still good enough to make this Hammerhead better than Edgewise? (field prep/demolitionist)

yes because the 900 RPM ones can't really compete with Hammerhead's archetype

Hammerhead is still the best Legendary HMG in my opinion. The Eris HMG has terrible base stats that can't even measure up to a terribly rolled Hammerhead even if it was a god roll.

I still prefer my Hammerhead. Got one with armor piercing rounds feeding frenzy/ rampage and a stability masterwork. I keep a backup mag mod on it which gives me 73 rounds just like edgewise just with more bite. I do keep edgewise around for aa a solar option though.

21% is the only gun better than recluse for ad clear. I love using double specials and 21%

3 RepliesThink this way: Hammerhead, as strong side heavy, to go side by side with good exotic like jotun. It can save your ass from orange bars, with boss spec, or major spec on. 21% - use it as good crowd control weapon. But do not use it on something more powerful. But you can make sick combo, with Izanagis, Loaded question ad 21%. I really dont even bother getting other machine guns, as I have rampage hammerhead. Tho, not curated roll, but fully masterworked.

Imo hammerhead and 21% preform better then edgewise, but keep them both and play around to see if you like hammerhead. I’d recommend putting a rampage spec to maximize its damage potential.

3 RepliesI just can’t justify the use of lmgs anymore. After the damage rework they just don’t cut it for me. I’m using the season reward lmg since it’s a high level but that’s the only reason. I have good rolls on all four of my lmgs and still barely use them.

Depends on what your doing. Crucible or gambit yes, beacuse it has better range and stability, also if your doing a warlock void build.

Hammerhead is much better. It’s nasty against most pve enemies. 21% delirium is better the edgewise in pretty much every way (I wish edgewise was an adaptive frame rather then a rapid fire frame). Heck, I think the avalanche from last seasons dawning was better.

I guess it depends on your personal choice... I for one can not stand the high RoF MG (such as Edgewise), so for me I will pick the curated Hammerhead over the Edgewise.

Hammerhead is far better imo. They are both good though. In the end I would pick based off whether you enjoy 450 or 900 rpms better.

So far hammerhead is the only HMG I use because I love it. I only have 3 though, and 2 are junk, lol. I’d like my old Dead Orbit one back from D1. One bullet head pops, super accurate, lol. The problem was phalanxes... it kept trying to shoot their head so I couldn’t shoot their hand to stagger them first, so I always had to switch to something else for those 🤣

Hammerhead’s archetype is more consistent in both pve and pvp. I’d go with that

Hammerhead is perfect for mowing through ads or guardians, edgewise with the demolitionist perk is more of a niche thing for if you’re trying to get your grenade back constantly. With edgewise use exotics that synergize well with grenade regen and/or damage output like hallowfire heart or top tree voidwalker.
