Destiny The Collection DLC code expired?

Okay, here's the deal. Purchased a new copy of Destiny The Collection on Amazon, spend $60 dollars on it. Came in the original wrapper and everything, went to install it and..the code for all of the DLC expired in 2018. I'm kind of irritated by this, so I contact Playstation Support and they tell me that the code hasn't been used, and that it could be reactivated but I have to contact Bungie to do that as Playstation can't reactivate the code for me. Like I said, the code itself is valid and hasn't been used, but it is expired, and PS Support said that Bungie would be able to reactivate or give me a new code all of the DLC. Does anyone know where I need to go specifically to get in touch with someone that can sort this out for me? I have a copy of the transcript from my talk with PlayStation Support as well as the DLC code itself that I can provide if needed.

  • Unfortunately, you didn't purchase a physical New copy of Destiny: The Collection; you purchased an Unopened copy. Sadly, in this instance, there is a difference between New and Unopened. You purchased a defective product from a seller and the product has been known to have expired codes for more than a year. You need to contact the retailer and request a refund of your purchase. All codes in the physical copies of Destiny: The Collection will be expired, so an exchange is not an option. Bungie does not deal with codes, those are handled by the platform companies (in your case, Sony) and Sony will not replace your expired code. Neither Bungie nor Sony will fix your code, make it so you can use your code, or give you a refund for your purchase. Please contact the retailer that sold you the defective product, request a refund for your defective product, and then if you desire to have the full Destiny experience that's available to you, you'll need to purchase it from Sony on the Sony Playstation Store. The digital purchase is the only way for you to purchase the Desitny 1 DLC at this point.

    • Hello. PlayStation gave you wrong information, unfortunately, as Bungie does not issue these codes and cannot help in this situation. Your best bet would be to request a refund from the retailer you bought the game from, and just purchase the DLC through your console's store.
