What’s the highest stat roll attainable for armor 2.0?

I’ve gotten a piece that when modded hits 75. Is that the highest a piece can go?

  • I have some old armour that rolled with 2 0s from back when armour rolled with intrinsic stat mods. It's a Mechaneers Tricksleeves with 30 mob, 0 recov, and 0 resil. It has the intrinsic option to pick from +10 mob or resil and I think it's cool b/c I don't even remember playing back when that was the case, but anyways, is it rare or just old armour?

      Legendary Armor has a 44 minimum, 68 maximum base stat roll range. Post-Shadowkeep Exotics share this limit. The lowest single stat you can get is 2 and the highest is 30 (two plugs made up of 1/1/15 distribution). Pre-Shadowkeep exotics have a 46 minimum, 71 maximum base stat roll range, depending on the exotic. A full set of 68 roll legendaries and a 71 roll exotic grants 275 stat points total, factoring in Masterwork, five stat mods and Powerful Friends/Radiant Light, you can hit a stat total of 425 (not including stasis fragment stat boosts and/or solar/void 3.0).

    • I got a Wings of Sacred Dawn at 69 total naked a couple days ago and it was the highest I ever saw so I kept it just for the stats. Unfortunately it's not only an exotic piece but Wings at that, which I literally never use, but it has 31 mobility (2 res, 3 rec), 12 discipline, and 19 intellect (2 strength). I threw a mobility mod on it so it has 41 mobility from just one armour piece alone. I see people here saying they have stats over 100 on one piece of armour, which means it would have had to drop at over 80 (or 78 at the very least) which is unreal. I have done basically all content in game and never even saw anything 70 or over so I'm not sure where these people are finding these or if they're full of it, but that's incredible if true.

          I had a 71 raw base stats (no masterwork or mods) Chromatic Fire just drop from the world loot messing around on Europa the other day. Highest I’ve seen by a long shot

          • Highest stat roll I've seen was 67 don't remember where it dropped. But anything with 65 or above i hold on to. top it off though even in the current season, I have all my gear master worked with 80 stats and above and 2 at 100 with perks and still get single hit death melee by titans and loose most one on one fights even landing all head shots. So point is i stopped caring what my stats were for crucible for the rare forced times i have to play to unlock exotics "again PVE gear being locked behind PVP" because the crap is still broken plus all the damn cheaters with millisecond sniper shots from around a corner and crutching on shotguns that have better accuracy and range then a scout or auto rifle, literally takes no skill with those two and still mostly what you see. But i digress! craps still broken and gear makes no difference in PVP. so my opinion doesn't matter unless you can miraculously get 100 in all sates. and even then doubt it lmfao!

            • I just saw a god roll 104 stat Lion ramparts that was with 1 other mod nothing else so base stat of 94. I couldn't believe it

              • The highest base stat I have is 69, on wings of sacred dawn followed by base stat of 68 on helm of Saint-14. Thus, when masterworked (+12) they are 81 and 80. With a +10 mod, they are 91 and 90. NOTE: I have had great success with un-focussed umbral engrams. This season I have gotten about 12-14 pieces of exotic armor, including the helm of saint-14 with the base stat of 68. Most of my exotic pieces that drop from the umbral engrams seem to fall with a base state of 64-66. I have gotten three with base stat of 67.

              • My friend has a leg armor with base stat of 85. I have never seen another one of it. He is a warlock and its from the season of arrivals. He thinks he got it from the tainted engrams, but he cant remember

                  • I can confirm the existence of a 69 base stat with mod and masterwork it becomes a 91 I have also seen a pair of legs with a base stat of 67 plus mod, plus traction, plus masterwork bringing it to a 94.

                    Edit: corrected spelling. I'm seeing allot of responses. Highest base stat I have been able to confirm is 70 so my guess is that the max is 73. That way when you add a mod +10 and masterwork it +12 and add traction +5 you would reach 100. And I would say that maybe the only reason we haven't seen that is because random rolls make it almost impossible for anything to roll with 73. Either that or I'm wrong and the highest is actually 70 but that would make the stat increases reach 97 which would be a weird number to end at.

                    I am a bluebery, haven't done a single raid (where the best drops can be found, as it's "weighted rng"), and my own best base is 60 or 61 I think. BUT, as far as I can figure out from other posters, and so on, it seems that an armour piece has 2 groups of rolls, i.e. original tristats, and the new tristats: {1,2}: {34}, each group can roll 34 max, giuving 68 as the base stat , at least in SEASON 1 of this year (shadowkeep). Just as the powercap is hitting 970 in next season, it could be there is another +2 on each stats possible etc.. we will find out, but there usualyl must be some"'raison d'etre" devs must come up with, for the hardcore gang, which are their main target group. Now, the _minmax_ version of 34, is thus, the maximum value in a 3-tuple, leavingg the minimum value in the other two which is 2, and not 1 or 0, (at least I haven' seen?). So , an absolute perfect rolled minmax set would technically be +2x4 + +30x2 = 68. With masterwork => 80. with a mod => 90, and if chests aren't the only ones which can roll such a perfect roll, but any armour piece say, then additionally with traction mod, one can hit 95 on the boots. This is what I surmise so far, after this season. We will have some adjustments to look out for in next season, in which I hope I will do some raids and be able to verify/help much more on stuff :D There are stat-hoarding gurus already. The 30/2 observation is oringinally from a forum poster which I forgot where was. It is worth reading regarding this even if I wasn't sure everything seemed to have bee correctly assumed. Ah, so also, as an addendum: not only are there "2 bell curve distributions" per piece, but also they are 'shifted on the x axis regarding (white,green) blue/legendary/exotic so blue is ~45-55, legendaries ~48-62 (or? I don't know as I doin't do the highest rng drop loot :/), exotic 55-? PPS: legendaries and exoptics might have the same 'bell curve' but exotics have like a +3 weighting or so.

                      I have boots that are an 87 and a chest 83... after masterwork’d. Wasn’t sure if ur item is masterwork’d. If not you can get it 12 points higher.

                              60 base is the highest I’ve seen. A resilience-strength-intellect-discipline-mobility mod gives plus 10 and masterwork adds another 10 I believe. My highest armour piece is 79 with the majority falling in 76-77 range. This is after they’ve been masterworked. Exotics from Xur are garbage. He sells them 10 below(48) what they will drop randomly at. Collections do the same. Pull from collections and your armour piece is only 48. Any exotic armour that drops hold onto it.
