Restriction warning for network manipulation
I got a restriction WARNING this morning saying “Too many of your recent matches show strong signs of network manipulation by you or someone on your fireteam. If this continues, your account may be restricted from matchmaking against other players”.
The reason I am posting asking for help is because never have I once ddosed people or even thought about it. I have recently been grinding comp with my best friends from school who are not cheaters by any means. We have no intention of network manipulation or hurting other players experiences.
There have been times where we load into a match where there is nobody on the enemy team multiple times in a row, but we have just considered it luck and played on.
Please dont ban me bungie. I have been playing Destiny since the dark below. It has become a huge part of my life.
Most importantly, I have not been network manipulating or any of that BS. I strictly play comp with my friends in real life anyways, and we are all D1 vets who know better. Thank you.

1 ReplyYou should definitely not run with that team again. Even if it wasn't intentional cheating, the games look suspect. People have got banned for less. It's pure luck that you only got a warning. 👍🏾

Doing something once / 1 time does not lead to a restriction or ban unless you are using code injecting software or are caught cheating. Connection based restrictions or bans you are given a warning about your connection first before any restriction or ban is places. Bungie investigates accounts before they hand out any restrictions or bans. After investigating your account, they found a reason. They will not respond or remove this restriction/ban. On the very rare occasions they do respond, the answer will give a date and a very brief reason which will be one of the following below. 1. Cheating 2. Any software being detected by Destiny while it's running. These could include Trainers, Aimbots, Auto-fire, Mods, Graphics Hacks, anything that injects code into games. 3. An unstable connection is having an impact on other players. Restrictions for network manipulation are usually caused by you or a member of your pre-made fireteam doing something... less than honorable behind the scenes of your matches. If it was not you, then it was a member of your team and Bungie has no real way to determine how much or little you knew about the player who was doing it, but it should have been obvious is that something fishy was going on. One of the biggest indicators of network manipulation and the largest red flag to bail out of your team is when your enemy loses 1 or more players in numerous matches. This is the alarm to save your account and bail out of the team. [b]Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason.
