Any purchases you make with silver go to your consumables inventory in a package that you have to open. Opening the package will void the ability to get a silver refund if for some reason you don't like what you purchased. Any purchases made with bright dust go straight into their appropriate inventory slot (emotes go to your emote inventory, shaders to your shader inventory, armor/weapon ornaments go into your inventory for mods/transmat effects/ghost projections inventory).
