Well, the short of it is not until we all buy more eververse stuff. It’s all about money. Bringing back factions would mean having to pay some premium voice actors for new dialogue, and they simply can’t afford that right now.
That’s why Cayde had to die, and in fact, with the success of John Wick, we’ll be lucky if Zavala doesn’t die next. That’s why the Stranger’s story arc ended.
Until they can find a way to replace the voice acting in a way that won’t upset the fanboys, there won’t be any further progression of these NPC’s/characters.

Cayde was not killed off because of budget voice over.... Nathan Fillion was unavailable, thus Nolan North did ALL of the voice work in Forsaken and you can’t even tell the difference. Not to mention he voices your ghost and other characters. And now your taking about Zavala and another unimportant character, That Luke Smith has gone on record saying the story has ended. Do you not even know the reason to why and how this game was made? It was stripped content and repurposed over and over. The stranger story was left over from original content, then repurposed into D1, which made no sense because it was stripped from original content. Just like the majority of content released for D2 was stripped from D1, such as Mercury, Mars and evening Garden of Salvation, which is why it makes no sense as a raid encounter when the Hive and Ship are main story boards, because they were taken from D1. Bungie has content repurposed all over the place. Secondly, factions were apart of original D1 and D2, and removed from access to players that was already repurposed from its original content. Garbage dumbasss post like yours are what drives ignorance. You have no ideal what you are talking about.

While I don’t believe this is the reason they must butn so much money hiring all the voice actors that could have been reinvested into content for the game or even hiring more staff to ease the “difficulty” of making content.

Ok, then do tell, what are the intelligent reasons that Bungie doesn’t bring back factions, continue the strangers arc, and why Cayde had to die for story progression without replacing a vanguard member who are all key to the Destiny lore and universe and have lore-wise always had a replacement? I’m happy to be ignorant and wrong if you have something of substance to offer.
