Suppression Grenades and supers

Why did anyone think that suppression grenades should purge supers was balanced? you spend 3-4 min of the match getting super only to have it removed by a single grenade. I played a match of momentum where there was a clan of 4 titans all running suppression grenades and they would all grenade right as a super came at them. No ability should be a direct counter to a higher tier ability, IE grenades>supers Edit: some of you seem to misunderstand, Its not about the strength of Suppressors compared to other grenades, its that a Grenade ability that can have a CD of 30 secs should not be able to purge a super that takes 3-4 Min

  • Only complaint I have is how long you stay suppressed for. Anyone know how much damage it does and how long the suppression is for?

      It can be annoying, but if they aren't running Armamentarium then it's pretty easy to bait out. The time you spend suppressed is a bit excessive, though.

    • Supression grenades are better than top tree tether. They are insanely op.

      • So you knew they had suppression grenades yet you charged at them with your super? Wow good job. Keep at it. Drop your gamer tag below so next time when I get the chance to hop on and I see you on the opposing team I’ll let you kill me a good amount of times. Then I’ll proceed to give you a good handful of shoulder charges in exchange.

        • I understand what you’re saying, in the end i think it would make more sense if you only lost your super completely if you are killed once it is activated, but if you are suppressed then you will have 2/3 of the super energy you had when you were taken out of it, i think that would be more fair.

        • So you want it to, what, not work on supers? Just take some of it away? Suppressors are balanced based on their inability to track, low damage, average blast radius, and ability to self-suppress. A full team of suppressors sucks, but its no reason to nerf them

        • And on the flip side, titans spend the entire match with a useless grenade slot with the hopes of denying [i]one[/i] super in a match. The timing on those grenades plus how fast supers tend to move, you're lucky to deny one super every 5 games. Congratulations, you have shown that people on these forums will complain about anything...

            Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha [i]Off the wall,[/i] At your feet! Rest in Piece Bruh.... Suppressors are the only reason I’ve been a Sentinel Main in D2. Nothing brings me more joy than suppressing someone who [i]thinks[/i] they’re about to get a reaper medal!! You’re lucky this isn’t D1 where suppressors had a bigger AoE

          • As a defender Titan I'll weigh in. Supressors are very difficult to place properly. For every time I suppress a super there are 9 other times I miss badly or misstime the throw and get eviserated. In addition, unlike other grenades, it is nigh on impossible to get a clean kill with a suppressor so their functionality is limited. I know losing a super must be frustrating...probably similar to the way a Titan feels when getting hit with an invincible, panic-super blade barrage. 😀

            • Huh, so even after we know titans are going to become balanced with oem and striker nerds, now we complain about things that don’t matter. As a Titan main, I have never ONCE used suppressing grenade, as basically every other grenade is MUCH better.

                      The grenade basically does nothing else in crucible. Those grenades are so difficult to properly place to get any form of damage that the extra effect is pretty much the only real valuable thing they do. I'd rather have a lightning grenade, pulse grenade, or thermites because those wall off areas and can easily secure kills. I get like MAYBE 1 kill with suppression grenades every 2 games and that's just because they aren't usable as follow ups for kills. They can do up to 150 damage, but pretty much any movement decreases that damage and it can end up being the weakest overall. I'm not disagreeing with people that thinks it's annoying, because it is when people just keep tagging you with them, but they also are losing out on a damage ability they could be using and if you miss the suppression grenades timing, you are pretty much dead. It's a gamble.

                        • Its fine....just annoying. All a suppression grenade does is take you out of your super. It doesn't kill you...and it has a long delay, so its difficulty to time the explosion against a MOVING target. People have just gotten spoiled with how OP supers were in PVP last year....and how some were borderline unkillable.
