Not every game has to be a sweat show. Im tired of the poor connection, facing the same teams, and facing stacks. It isnt worth it. The only game mode that should have it is comp.
Edit: new light players do need a fair advantage being so new to the game. They should be separated from the veterans. But we shouldnt be punished with bad connection and constant stacks because of it. This is a system that rewards bad players and punishes good ones. But hey yall armt ready for that conversation.

Not this shit again...

2 RepliesAll these replies are hilarious, most people here are trash at pvp and need the protective bubble bungie offers so they dont get butthurt when someone who took the time to get better then them runs them over "How dare that person have the gall to be good at a video game" smh, its sad bec children playing battle royale games dont care when ninja kills them but if a destiny streamer is racking high kill counts in a game they are somehow in the wrong bec theyre good and need to be placed in a separate que from them sbmm - the illusion that youre as good as anyone else....
-
5 RepliesI get why bungie did it. The majority of players that play pvp are actually terrible. Giving them a playlist where they can match other terrible players will keep them playing the game lol it’s alright, you’ll be fine.

Edited by bill_westie: 11/10/2019 5:25:06 PMAre you thinking for the good of the game or the good of the playerbase because from where I'm sitting you are only thinking for the good of yourself. Don't worry though TV thinks the same. I think we should have an option in the settings tab that says favours SBMM or CBMM. And while we're at it another that says favours Fireteams or favours Solo queue.
-
3 RepliesSo you don't want SBMM so you can have easier games but the people who aren't great at PVP should have to have every game be a sweat show and miserable? Yeah, we're not ready for that conversation because it's idiotic and self important. PVP is already full of hackers now and you want to add in basically smurfing it and destroying less skilled players so you don't have to try so hard? Cute.
-
Definitely too many playlists with sbmm. The lag in those lobbies is terrible. I’ll take connection based lobbies any day. Destiny players have been asking for connection based playlists for as long as I can remember. To give us only one seems ill advised.
-
I would be curious to to see how a handicap system would play out. That way you could always use CBMM and then its just a matter of does this playlist enable the handicap or not. My initial thoughts on the handicap would be something similar to the light level advantages but tied to your skill level instead. The lower the skill, the higher the handicap. The higher the handicap the higher your "advantage" is. This idea may not work, but at least it's an idea to try to appease both sides of the matchmaking debate. We need solutions, not constant "what I want is better than what you want" rants.
-
Its pretty divided. Good players hate it because it makes "casual" crucible sweaty. Bad players want it because they can't shoot worth a damn. Just bring back trials. Problem solved.
-
Tell that to the double jumping constant dodging invis self entitle hunters who thinks the game revolves around them. It’s a game play the way you wanna play. Titans are up there up too but not all Titans are the same and this goes towards hunters and warlocks as well.
-
1 ReplyIm shit at pvp so every match is a sweat for me, but at least i have a chance against people who are around my skill level. So i say keep sbmm, just my opinion.
-
11 RepliesSo complaining that you can’t stomp casuals all the time? Nice.
-
14 RepliesNope sorry SBMM should be here to stay. The majority of players are average-below average in terms of skill and SBMM allows for better games. For every one of you crying about SBMM there are 100s that welcome it. You have options: 1-play another game 2-put on your big boy sweat pants Crying on the forum when you represent the minority of players is a waste of time. Have a good day.

33 RepliesEdited by Hellekeen: 11/8/2019 8:42:22 AM
Not every game has to be a sweat show.
That’s the reason I need SBMM .. to not have every game a swear show , thanks for supporting SBMM .. Your average joe normal pvp player .

2 RepliesI think if you don't want to sweat it out, play some private matches with friends. Have your fun random load outs or side arms only in there.
-
50% of pvp should be sbmm 50% cbmm Also the cbmm should be one of the biggest icons - not hidden in a corner beside private matches where no one but those looking for it will see it.
-
1 ReplySbmm blooooooooows! Bring back cbmm.

Another sheep.

I'd rather have close games rather than me stomping every team. I don't mind getting stomped once in a while, I expect it.

IDK about getting rid of it completely... perhaps make large tiers for the grouping. Sort of a newbie, low, moderate, and high structure, maybe a couple more if that is too rough. That way there can still be some manner of competitive feel without people getting ripped a new one repeatedly to the point they rage quit. Do it sort of like Dust514 did. Start in the newbie group until a set number of hours or matches, then get placed into the upper tiers according to your performance. At the very least... stop jumping to just breaking up teams after a rough match and dumpimg us all back into the general pool again. Always frustrated me when I see the breaking up teams message... even when I was on the side that got wasted. I would rather see it mix up the players of that same grouping for at least one more go. Some of us could learn something from those we lost to... getting a chance to play with them (or even against them again) may help us become better players. Dumping everyone and then forcing them in with other low skilled players doesn't really do much to improve their game. ...and that comes from someone who hasn't crawled his way to a positive K/D yet in D2. Oh, and don't you just love how they focus on the KDA number now? Made me laugh after my first few matches... thought I was doing pretty good... until I saw the stats without the assists. Hehe.

2 RepliesOP: Im tired of facing the same teams and poor connections Playerbase: YOURE JUST MAD YOU HAVE TO PLAY AGAINST YOUR SKILL LEVEL ITS TOTALLY FAIR AND FUN RREEEEEEEEEE God I hate this community

18 RepliesThe only people having problems with SBMM are the sweaties because they get matched up against other sweaties. For the rest of us, it's pretty ok. Lag is there but it's not game breaking and is actually expected in a P2P setting. And trust me as far as Destiny is concerned there's no real difference between SBMM and CBMM for lag. Try playing Classic Mix which is CBMM and you'll see similar amount of lag. People complain about SBMM for the sole reason that they are getting matched against people of similar skill and they can't have fun stomping.

2 RepliesIt’s not going away, eat your karma for the trouble you started in Forsaken
-
4 Repliesuhm no
-
2 RepliesI personally like it. I’m not stomping new light players every match and this game is actually challenging / fun again when playing against people that are around my same level.

I will never understand this arguement. It seems completely backwards. Comp should be more connection based if skill based causes so much lag(I don't buy the lag arguement, but I digress) and quickplay should be more of a skill based to prevent newbies from going up against the cream of the crop as much as possible. I'll say the same thing others said when someone asked for skill based before it was implemented. If you don't like skill based, go play classic mix.
