Mine would be the fact that most of the time you’re never gonna use half the literal shit you learn. Thoughts?

TAKES TWO SECONDS

1 ReplyPeople kissing in the hallway while changing classes I’m honestly thinking about just saying, “nice.” while walking by them since it’s just ridiculous.
joking
And then there’s everyone that decides to walk slowly on their way to class. Especially those who walk slowly while talking to their friend and they’re holding up everyone behind them. I find the students to be more annoying than literally anything else in the school (except the floor plan; whoever came up with that was not thinking ahead when they were drawing it up.)

Edited by isaac13d: 11/7/2019 6:47:43 PMThey don't really teach home economics or shop class anymore. How many people do you know that can't cook, can barely clean, and couldn't change a tire to save their life? And why don't they teach you how to do your taxes?! That's easily one of the most important things to know how to do! But hey, at least you know that Shakespeare died on April 23, 1616! That's REALLY important to know.

I really didn’t have any. I enjoyed my high school years. A lot better than having to be an adult and work for a living.

You're gonna use most of the shit you learned if you go to college. My pet peeve was waking up early.

Mine would be walking into the teachers lounge, and not even being able to see them because of the cloud of cigarette smoke.

Thankfully I only have 3, they would be the following: 1. Students who don't do anything then complain when they get a bad grade (Although I was guilty of this in one class during Freshman year and I hate my past self because of it) 2. Students who attempt to flex on other students/teachers. (I don't think I need to explain why) 3. Teachers who hate the usage of technology (specifically Chromebooks/Laptops) in class during workshop time though thankfully only a minority of the teachers in my school do this and the rest want you to learn to do further research on a subject and even go as far as to teach how to properly research for things on the internet. (For context, AISD issued most if not all High Schools in their school district with Chromebooks. Now I know some students are going to waste their time doing offtopic things and not getting work done But for the majority of the classes I have this problem in the ability to use my Chromebook would help a great deal with the assignments.)

Cliques. All cliques accomplished was proving that the popularity contest mentality in high school is irrelevant after graduating from it.

Edited by Jotaro Kujo PhD: 11/7/2019 5:14:19 AMseveral: -the fact that we were forced to use MLA formatting for literally everything. I haven't even touched that garbage format since high school. -the fact that English and gym were mandatory every year yet math and science were only required for 3 years -the fact that we didn't have a block schedule and instead had to take the same classes every day from 7 am to 2 pm. It got old really fast and 45 minute lectures are too short for AP/IB classes. Overall, high school was great for me, but I had a lot more freedom during undergrad.

most students in high school are dumbasses in general
-
Mostly the people who end up getting the entire class in trouble for dumb reasons. People being immature. I'm glad I graduated last year.

I have to agree with you. I mean, I am going into Engineering, but why do I have to learn how to factor polynomial equations? I also don't like the girls that form a wall, and then walk at .1 MPH while chatting about internet E-Boys.
Sorry Partner, but You've Yeed your last Haw
2 RepliesEdited by DarkEraser: 11/6/2019 11:33:02 PMThose popular assholes thinking that being popular will make them the most successful person in the world. Teachers who play favoritism. Also those good teachers leaving for some weird circumstance while the P.O.S. teachers stay. Slow walkers. Like there are people wanting and needing to get to class on time.

I didn't go to highschool so

Being naive of the ability to become my own man at any point throughout. Make the choice to either drop out or work your ass off to go to college early. From the time you hit puberty people need to realize the time is now to go get your life. Otherwise you just slow burn the best years of your life and end up being spoiled and unemployable.

Not being allowed to talk once instruction was over. It was rare that this was the case, but there were still a couple of subs and teachers with fat sticks up their asses.
-
My pet peeve is when people skip in the lunch line without thinking about how rude it is. About your peeve, yeah I agree. Some of the classes aren't needed for some of us. Although I don't know what classes I would take in high school for a film director/actor. Photography I guess?

1 ReplyIf you have any sort of idea of what career you want to have, you should be able to alter your schedule to fit the requirements of that career. For example, if I were to be an engineer, I shouldn’t feel pressured to take AP Literature in high school, and if I wanted to become a history teacher I shouldn’t have to take Calculus.
