Please fix catalyst drop in crucible and strikes
I have come to hate the reward system in this game. I've been playing strikes and crucible non stop since May. I have not received one single catalyst from these two. I still don't have the catalyst for Jade or Graviton lance. I'm not saying hand the catalyst over after 100 kills but 6 months playing and not a single catalyst seems like something is wrong.
I can't convince myself to pay for forsaken, Shadowkeep and other stuff when I can't even get fair rewards.

Dude I did more than 100 strikes and not a single Catalyst dropped....And I have SOOO many weapons that their catalysts drops from Strikes only...WTH IS THAT SRSLY BUNGIE???? 100 Strikes and 0 catalysts? Does that mean the % is bellow 0%?

2 RepliesI’ve had success completing catalyst that I currently have and then shortly after getting new ones to drop. I swear the game knows how many active incomplete catalyst you have and stops dropping them in game until you free up some space by completing them.

I have had a very similar experience. 100s of hours, hundreds of strikes, hundreds of crucible matches... no catalyst drops. I’m losing interest fast

Agreed. Haven't got one in quite awhile. The last one was for rat king and that was some time back. I mean seriously of all the cats to drop I get rat king. Blam bungie.

2 RepliesI had the same problem... just got the Riskrunner Cat. I noticed that using the gun during the events is more likely to drop the Cat. It has been a 3 for 3 for me. Riskrunner, Cerebus and Huckleberry. Hope it works for you.

Just like exotics, there should be bad luck protection on drops for these from relevant activities. It'd be pretty cool if you could obtain one weekly from Xur for a hefty fee (choices on a random rotation like Banshee's mods).

To be honest, I pretty much have all catalyst’s right now just by playing, except the 4 raid catalysts. I played a lot of crucible and strikes in forsaken. Just have to hope to get lucky. You could try running nightfalls with a clan with a high season rank for nightfall specific drops and you’ll probably get a few there. Same with the crucible. Me. I just played the game a ton and got lucky I guess.

Going on 8 months now and still no prometheus catalyst. I don't even care about the effect of most of them so much as the ability to generate orbs. Given that exotics don't have champion mods, generating orbs is the only thing that justifies bringing them(not counting heavies) in any activity with champions.

Agree. The process to get these is crap; and the only bonus is tied to guild shit. Why am I forced to guild partner up to get drop rate to not be awful. All the strike and crucible drop catalysts should be able to be dropped from fated engram. This is year old plus content that I’m trying to grind out to unlock. So tedious.

I figured that the catalysts would have higher drop rates with the ordeal nfs, apparently that’s not the case

I don't think something like "after [insert number] of kills a catalyst will drop" would be bad. I've been playing since Foresaken and have yet to get Vigilance Wing catalyst to drop. In contrast i got Ace and Cerebus+1 catalysts to both drop within the first week of SK. Seems weird that catalysts for old, sometimes meh, guns are harder to get than catalysts for top tier exotics

1 ReplyMuch much higher for crucible catalysts to drop in comp. I have gotten all of mine in comp. Strike catalysts are pretty rare though.

I'd like an increase in those drops in at least the Master NFs if not the normal strikes.

6 RepliesThey should bring back skeleton keys. Would really help with the catalyst system in strikes. Can't recall if comp increase catalyst drop chances.
