Bungie please increase Postmaster and Vault space

I have lost countless weapons and exotics with good rolls with the postmaster becoming full whilst I am busy with activities. Please also allow us to access postmaster from anywhere at any time to dismantle unwanted blues etc. Also increase the Vault size since space becomes a major issues especially with 3 chars.

  • Any chance of this happening? New season, new (reworked old) gear, RNG perks, no space to keep it... I keep many weapons to support different play styles, activities, and bounties. Thanks to RNG perks, what could be one weapon ends up being two or three. With affinity locked armor mods and the season mod slot I sometimes spend more glimmer switching out mods then I gain.

  • With season of dawn, any chance we’ll see more vault space?

  • Totally agree man. At the very least, IB armor from previous seasons needs to become ornaments (only) on IB 2.0 armor, to keep its significance. You wouldnt be able to put IB armor/ornament on say Prodical armor, for example. Same goes for similar no-longer obtainable armor like Raids, Trials, etc. As far as the vault goes, there's multiple ways to increase vault space. They could also do a tab/stacking drop-down method for organization as well. Method 1: Just give us unlimited vault space either via in-game or allow us to make a save folder (similar to a game save file) that we save on our own hard drives. Then its on us to allocate/make the space for our own vaults. Would have to make one on each platform if you play on multiple platforms. Not as ideal as in-game, but if in-game space is really limited, then I think that would be a good alternative if implemented properly. Method 2: UI / QOL Upgrade Example: Tab 1 - Kinectic Weapons / Weapon (multiple good/god rolls) hover over weapon to show/drop-down multiple versions (thats 1 slot). i.e. 5 different weapons with 5 different good/god rolls, (ex. Bygones, Service Revolver, Subtle Calamity, Erentil, Swarm of the Raven, with 5 duplicates each. Currently 25 slots used are used here; now condenses down to 5 slots (5 per slot for each of said weapons' duplicates with drop-down/stacking method). Also each item would have a small number showing how many duplicates of that item you have before you hover over it; 3, 5, 10, whatever the number is. This would be a vault UI / QOL change I would love to see or something similar for not only more space (preferebly unlimited), but also vault organization/management. Open for feedback/suggestions other than the typical "Just dont be a hoarder". There's a difference between "hoarding" and being a collector, or just saving rolls to mess around with and test later. Either way, we shouldnt be limited in a "looter shooter"; grinding and collecting is the name of the game. Sort By:- Weapon or Item Type/Power Level/Exotic/ Legendary/Alphabetical/etc... *Order of Tabs can be arranged to personal preference. Tab 1 - Kinectic Weapons (items stack same example as above) Tab 2 - Energy Weapons (items stack same example as above) Tab 3 - Power Weapons (items stack same example as above) *Alternate set-up could be: [Main Tab]: Weapons [Sub-Tabs]: Tab 1, Tab 2, Tab 3 Tab 4 (1) - Character 1 Helmet (items stack same example as above) Tab 5 (2) - Character 1 Gloves (items stack same example as above) Tab 6 (3) - Character 1 Chest (items stack same example as above) Tab 7 (4) - Character 1 Boots (items stack same example as above) Tab 8 (5) - Character 1 Class Item (items stack same example as above) *Alternate set-up could be: [Main Tab]: Character 1 (Warlock) [Sub-Tabs]: Tab 1, Tab 2, Tab 3, Tab 4, Tab 5 Tab 9 (1) - Character 2 Helmet (items stack same example as above) Tab 10 (2) - Character 2 Gloves (items stack same example as above) Tab 11 (3) - Character 2 Chest (items stack same example as above) Tab 12 (4) - Character 2 Boots (items stack same example as above) Tab 13 (5) - Character 2 Class Item (items stack same example as above) *Alternate set-up could be: [Main Tab]: Character 2 (Hunter) [Sub-Tabs]: Tab 1, Tab 2, Tab 3, Tab 4, Tab 5 Tab 14 (1) - Character 3 Helmet (items stack same example as above) Tab 15 (2) - Character 3 Gloves (items stack same example as above) Tab 16 (3) - Character 3 Chest (items stack same example as above) Tab 17 (4) - Character 3 Boots (items stack same example as above) Tab 18 (5) - Character 3 Class Item (items stack same example as above) *Alternate set-up could be: [Main Tab]: Character 3 (Titan) [Sub-Tabs]: Tab 1, Tab 2, Tab 3, Tab 4, Tab 5 Tab 19 - Miscellaneous (Ships, Sparrows, Ghosts, etc...) *Sub-tabs here would be fine, but not quite as necesarry Tab 20 - Consumables (Gunparts, Tokens, Gambit Synths, Planet materials, Shaders, etc...) *Note: Shaders are less important since they can be re-obtained in collections for a small currency compared to say exotic ships and sparrows, but still an option. Tab 21 - Infusion Items *Note: Any weapons or armour (regardless of blue, legendary, exotic) that have bad rolls but high power levels that you specifically want to save to infuse with later, because maybe you dont have enough upgrade modules at the time. (All duplicate items could stack like the example above). Summary: Vault UI Set-up 1: Tab: 1-21 (no sub tabs) Vault UI Set-up 2 (Alternate): Main Tab 1: (Weapons) / Sub-Tabs: 1-3 Main Tab 2: (Character 1) / Sub-Tabs: 1-5 Main Tab 3: (Character 2) / Sub-Tabs: 1-5 Main Tab 4: (Character 3) / Sub-Tabs: 1-5 Main Tab 5: (Miscelaneous) Main Tab 6: (Consumables) Main Tab 7: (Infusion Items) Postmaster: Needs to be increased or unlimited with the option to auto-dismantle blues. i.e. Dismantle all blues below power-level "insert number". Example: Dismantle all blue engrams with power-levels < 950. (blues can still be good for infusion if they're the power-level you need) Consumables: All consumables need there limits raised to 9999. Not 3, not 5 or some other ridiculously low number. Quests/Bounties Tabs: Need an icrease in space for each to accomodate the max number of availiable quests and bounties. Also lets us sort, (and lock in place), how we like to have them sorted, not re-sort every time we go back into that screen. Sort by: Rare/Newest/Oldest/Completion %/Vendor/etc... Max number of quests will differ per player, but max number of bounties can be calculated. So make enough space for all of Zavala's, Ikora's, Shaxx's, Lord Saladen's, Drifter's, Ada-1's, Sweeper bots, Banshee's, Hawthorne's, Spider's, Eris Morne's, Lecturn table, all other planetary venders, Current seasonal event, and any other bounties I may have missed. We should be able to pick up every bounty in the game from all vendors and go on a grind-fest. We shouldnt have to disrupt play-flow to go pick up more bounties just cause Bungie doesnt want to give us more space to hold all of them from the start. There's no logical reason for it; its like they're making us go back and forth fetching more bounties for the sake of....well...."just because"... Even if your not a big collector, or what other's would like to troll and call a "hoarder"; I think this would be a great upgrade to QOL and the game's inventory managment. Of course history shows this will never happen, but one can dream...lol

  • Stop hoarding. We just need more consumable space.

It’s funny how all the detractors are like: “Stop hoarding you loser” “I have three characters and I have plenty of space!” “Just delete items you spent hours grinding for 4head” Why can’t you all accept that people have different play styles and what was once meta could still become meta again if sandbox changes. Worth holding onto those god rolls of weapons that have fallen by the wayside Allowing some players to increase their vault space either through eververse or some in-game currency does not affect you in the slightest but let’s be real, you’ll one day find yourself needing more space and complain about the increased space being locked behind a paywall

Postmaster - not a vault lol Vault space - NO (actually make it smaller) I have 3 characters never had a problem. Sort and delete items, stop hoarding everything. My vault is 95/500 so... 🤣

        • Let us auto dismantle blues and the problem with the postmaster space would be less problematic . They are only good for weapon parts. Id rather parts just drop insted.

The mail wouldn't fill up if we had an OPTION to auto dismantle blues. Also Armor 2.0 is really hurting my vault space what with needing multiple element rolls on exotics. Now I need 3 versions AT LEAST of every exotic armor piece. Change my Mind.

          • If all armor and guns were not randomized you don't need the vault you can reaquire at any time. I'm not sure why Bungie has not figured this out yet.

            • Bungie doesn't want you holding onto that much. They want you to regrind things every season. Why do you think we are on our third iteration of armor in 3 years? I bet you weapons are next. The game is so shallow that mindlessly grinding is all there really is.

            • I would suggest having items drop to the vault if the PM is full and there is vault space. I'm with the OP- if you run more than a couple of events without dropping out and slogging back to the Tower to check the PM, you're losing stuff. And yes, I still need every drop I get, even Blues...

            • Locking weapons and armour to the collections would be ideal. Then if I find a roll I like, but don't use the gun for awhile I could have the roll saved. Delete the gun for a bit. Resurrect it later.

              • Thanks to armor 2.0 we now have to keep 3 of each armor set we like. One of each element. We either need more vault space, get rid of elements on armor, or make every armor unlocked into an ornament.

              • Its a game about collecting all kinds of armor and weapons with a large variety of stats/perks and they limit storage space which makes almost no sense. I'm constantly struggling with not having enough space and inventory items (Consumables page) is a joke. Every item in there I will need at some point. If i put it away in the vault and forget its there i could easily screw myself over. Bungie should increase space period. But if they charged like 10 bucks to double space permanently... I'd buy that so fast. 20% of my time in this game is trying to manage space and terrified i might delete a piece of armor / weapon that actually has a very good roll or with future changes could be an amazing item. I don't think i'll ever understand bungie and how much chaos they put their players through.

              • Postmaster - yes Vault space - I have got about 80 items in mine. Too much similar stuff, too much garbage for me to keep it and I periodically remove stuff. But an increase ...that’s difficult because there’s a limit to how big it can be and simply giving more slots is pointless if you can’t organise what you have by class or weapon type. The more you have, in its current state, the harder it is to find what you’re looking for.
