Bane of Crota Shell Drop Rate is Abysmal
Been grinding like crazy in altars of sorrow and about to finish the triumphs for completing waves. harbinger is available in like 10 hours so I'm kinda panicking, the ghost shell is the last thing I need before the final two master nightmare hunts become available. Went on reddit and found tons of people with the same issue. The drop chance must be 5% or less, with no rng protection. That wouldn't be an issue if it didn't take 10-15 minutes to get to the boss.

Lol it's drop is still the same today this is pathetic I've done almost 500 runs and still no ghost shell beyond a joke now 😂😂😂😂

Why bungee keeps doing the same mistake over and over again is a mystery to me. They did the same with the dreaming city ghost and now they do the same with this ghost. Its disheartening to farm for anything when you know you might have to do it 400 times when your friends get it on their fifth time... it’s not fun to farm for this long, bungee.... you know that, right? You are ruining your game with all this unfair grinding.... put a max time you need to get an item, always.... no one should have to do one activity 400 times, that will only make them quit the game

2 Repliesi Farmed altar of sorrows for 8 hours yesterday,, and today i started today again and grinding for another 9 hours.. ive gotten every single achievement for altar of sorrows and still no ghost. the ghost is the last and final thing im missing for the harbinger title and yes im beyond pissed the hell off at the fact bungie would make it like this.. im starting to think my account is flagged or something to not allow the drop of the ghost. ive killed the final nightmare on the last wave over 120 times and still nothing.. ive gotten multiple curated of all the weapons but no ghost.. im pissed.

My friend had it drop today as his second ever drop from tier 5 boss. Auto deleted it since its ugly.

1 ReplyIt took me over six months of doing ascendant challenges three times a week to get the ghost shell for Cursebreaker and after that BS I decided I’ll never go for another title again. Once you stop caring about it you’ll likely get it. GL

Got mine on my first run....... sorry. Just another generic ghost shell tbh, pretty damn unimaginative.
