Yeah I know this is not on Bungie’s priority list because it doesn’t involve the design of a new ghost shell that can be sold at Eververse. And yeah I know this has been asked already a million times before.
But here we go again….
There is only one version of Vigilance Wing. There is only one version of SUROS Regime. There is only one version of Crimson. I can go on.
But there are thousand different versions of any exotic armor piece. All 6 stats are random every time and it can roll with 3 different energy affinities.
So once you’ve unlocked SUROS Regime there is no need for you to ever get it again. Exotic armor is ALWAYS relevant
So Bungie, take time off from Eververse for a few minutes and fix this.

As someone who dabbles in computer science, I'd say that a few lines of code would make it so. An if-then statement perhaps?
-
Ya...that's what I thought since few years ago. I just got a Vigilance Wing from this week Xur...total useless.
-
-
Yup, dont see why they can't make it so once you have everything, you only get armour. That way he's useful for new and old players.
-
You are supposed to have a higher percentage at getting armor after all weapons are acquired . Supposed is the keyword there .
-
3 RepliesAgree. I would actually find xur if this were the case.
-
Fantastic idea, I'd spunk the expensive 97 shards every week.
-
I would rather they fix Xurs inventory. Bought the Peacekeepers and it was the same exact roll and stats from the collections.
-
Agreed. Once you have a weapon, there’s no point in having it in the exotic loot pool again.

Edited by Dalsheel: 11/4/2019 10:15:29 PM+1 I've obly gotten 1 armor since shadowkeep launched and all others were weapons. Very disappointing considering we now need to find all exotic armors again and with 3 different affinities. Not even mentioning stat alocation... this is a joke really. But yes, please, make Xur's engram only drop armor pieces once you have all the exotic weapons. This is a major QoL change that NEEDS to happen a.s.a.p.
-
It’s a joke that we had to get the exotic armor again because of the low stats. This makes me very angry.
-
1 ReplyYou're getting downvoted, but i agree. Once you got all exotics unlocked new enegrams should only drop armor pieces. Getting double weapon exotics is absolutely useless.

50 RepliesI don’t get your problem? Is there a piece of armor you’re missing that the fated engrams haven’t given you?
-
They don't careee
-
I've complained about this since I've been able to. Since y1. No change. It's just another slap in the face of the average player.

3 RepliesBungie wouldn’t give you everything in the game... They want people to grind and not to have everything in the game, because then it would be a bunch of One eyed mask wearing Titans running around crucible... They don’t want to hand every non quest exotic to people on a plate

2 RepliesI got vigilance wing outta my fated engram this week ... Despite the fact xur was selling it and that I was using it in PvP before and went and saw him lol
-
4 RepliesGit gud
someone had to say it lol
1 ReplyI think the better option would be to remove the fated engram once you have all of the applicable loot. The new drop rates for exotics in the Nightfall is pretty good and is a reliable way to farm exotics with good rolls.
-
I understand the point you're making, but Bungie has only intended the Fated Engram to fill in your collection. They COULD technically change it, but they won't most likely.
-
3 Replies
Yeah I know this is not on Bungie’s priority list because it doesn’t involve the design of a new ghost shell that can be sold at Eververse. I get what you're asking for but implying bungie isn't changing because of eververse, sarcastic or not, is silly. Fated engrams are for collections while the items he sells are for random stats, assuming those are random. Can't remember the last time i bought from xur.
-
A fix implies there is something wrong with how Fated Engrams work but there is not. They are only intended to fill gaps in Collections for non-quest Exotics They were never intended to give a random armor roll for an item you already have in your collection. If you try to use it for that you will be disappointed
