I’ve been playing Destiny since year one and have like most adults in their mid 20s had times where I play allot and times where I don’t. Beginning of destiny 2 I played allot but now that I’ve have come back after being gone since forsaken I’ve tried to get into raids. Since when is this community become so toxic and pretentious that if you don’t have 20 clears that you can’t participate in a raid like how are you suppose to find people to play with if everybody expects everybody to be a expert. Time to drop Destiny again it seems.

same here got up to final boss so many times but get kicked because dont have iz burden sniper yet or so many groups require 5+ clears. I stop playing destiny after first DLC because of sick players, not willing help out. Destiny sherpa is little to none any on ps4, I and my friend wants at least complete it once. Back in destiny 1 days, we would help so many people, 30+ raids week with trails carries. anyone with crappy guns would be allowed. Destiny 2 100 times worse and I only completed the first day dozen times. I haven't touched any other because no one willing to teach or help, Now might have to stop playing again because missing out on raids.

When Destiny took away unlimited revives in normal mode, it made learning/teaching that much harder and more tedious since death, which tends to happen often when learning, is usually terminal punishment and cannot be saved. They did this solely to get their streamerbois more views on guides.

I think the issue is that some people dont have time to wait for people to learn the mechanics. I dont, if i sense that someone on the team just isnt getting it and im not lead, i will leave to find a better team. Simple as that. Ive done my fair share of raids and it really doesnt take long to get a raid down.

I honestly blame Bungie. Mainly the raid boss timer. It pushes people to wanting the most dps because if it takes too long it’s a wipe. Why not make raid bosses more fun and let people take time with them.

2 RepliesEdited by DredLaP: 11/4/2019 4:36:24 AMThe same way the 20+ clear people did when they had zero clears. I know that sounds smartass, but im not trying to be that way. The people that have 20+ clears put hours into the raid learning it. The people with Zero clears can do exactly the same at any point in time. They just dont want to. Many, it seems, want the quick hour raid, but to never have to put in the time. Thats every bit as selfish, if not more than the people who dont want to help, but no one cares or see’s it. I know many who still actively help and sherpa. There will never be enough to help everyone. Its an impossible expectation. Some will have to help themselves. When i need/want something, i dont blame others and give up. I go get it. That may be a clan, a raid, a weapon, whatever. Some lack the initiative and its easier to sit back and blame the community, than build a team to go learn and get something.
