Just found out there is a Manhattan Nuclear Zone In Destiny's Lore
Yoooo this would be really cool to explore. There is a rare line in D1's Tower PA about Cayde needing volunteers to go find a missing Hunter last seen in Manhattan. Im all for City scalled combat, especially in the crucible

1 ReplyBungie really does need to capitalise on the idea of old earth destinations. We’ve enough destinations for different worlds on our director. Stuff like the Eastern Flood Zone or Old Chicago can make for great gameplay and also SotP-like raids. Not to mention the sheer exploration value of going to old ruins and taking in the dead environment covering what was once a bustling one is so far above shit like Io and Nessus that I’m amazed Bungie hasn’t tried it yet. If there is a Y4 of D2, maybe they could actually give it a shot with the new expansion and just give us a few earth destinations or maybe just a huge one.

The scenario of a Guardian, Orin, who later became the Emissary of the Nine, encountering radiation is covered in the Ecdysis lore book, under the entry titled “Risen”. Here are the pertinent lines: “I should have walked faster,” she mutters, and then bends over to be sick. “You can’t do that here,” Gol interrupts anxiously. “Stop, Orin. Stop. You have radiation poisoning. If you’re sick here, you’ll die here, and then I’ll have to resurrect you here, and you’ll be sick and die again and again. You have to move. Come. I told you not to walk around here.” Guardians are tough, but radiation doesn’t care how many bullets you have. I would say Cayde should know better, but he got trapped in a Vex loop on Nessus. As Failsafe put it “... Cayde’s dumb.” (΄◉◞౪◟◉｀)

11 RepliesThey can't even come up with a new planet - what makes you think they'll flesh out locations on Earth further? I personally would like to see zones in North American since that is where the GREAT majority of D2 players live.
