Raid matchmaking would make the game better along with nightfall and dungeon matchmaking

I would definitely like matchmaking

Choice is always a good thing.

If they add matching making there will be many leaving the game permanently Sometimes a person wants to go there Solo, or 2-4 fireteam to do various non raid stuff. Matchmaking would make this impossible.

Use the app to find fireteams. It isn't rocket science.

There sorta is a matchmaking for raid and nightfalls not sure about levithan raid but I know for last wish SotP and the new one there's a "beta" option to can pick you can either go in solo and get matched with a full team or go I with 3 team members and paired with 3 others. You can even go in with 5 and pick up a person whos searching as well. It's not efficient but I think it's the best we're gonna get same goes for nightfall

No because raids require communication. People who matchmake in raids wouldn’t talk and nobody would get past the first encounter in most raids.
-
i would like an easier way of finding a group for raids. I never done raiding though so im assuming id be dead weight on my team. Maybe what we need is an easier way of forming fireteams and groups in-game. like an lfg system maybe but then at the same time i'm not sure how effective that is going to be

I would love raid matchmaking, in theory, because none of my friends play destiny. The issues are, raids require cooperation on a level which most randoms probably won’t have. Imagine if you queue up and 3 of your teammates don’t have mices. Additionally, raids take much more time and effort to complete than other activities, meaning it would probably take ages to find a team

I’m all for raid matchmaking in theory but the level of coordination required (in this game) by six randoms that have never done it before? You’ll be in there for 1-3 hours with absolutely nothing to show for it. Even in other MMO’s, higher difficulty raids have always been a thing designed for premades anyway and I’m ok with that. Now that being said, if you want to make the argument that there needs to be significantly more variety of six man PVE content with matchmaking? I am absolutely 100% behind that idea.

I'd watch a match made group attempt the raid, that'd show how its not done! Raid matchmaking would be terrible!
-
Honestly should do wow's version of lfr with lower power rewards
-
The keyword missing is optional. Im all for optional raid matchmaking, but completely against forced matchmaking.
-
Dungeon matchmaking, absolutely. Raid matchmaking, frick no, you'd never get one done that way.
Raid matchmaking would make the game better along with nightfall and dungeon matchmaking
i do matchmaking nightfalls and although i dont mind carries you see some stupid stuff that makes you understand why matchmaking on raids will be stressful as it is 5 other peoples time investment

Edited by MewSixUwU: 11/3/2019 6:54:26 PMi don't understand why anyones against this, if you don't want it just go into the raid with a full team like any activity. if endgame content had matchmaking it would become immediately accessible to a large amount of the community sure playing these things with randos will be difficult but that's our choice to attempt it

Edited by Helveck: 11/4/2019 12:19:21 AMThere is a lot that would need to be looked at before making it optimal and I'm sure certain prerequisites would need to exist, but I think having the raids be more accessible to more players would add to the value of the game. Quite a few people I know have played Destiny, but never invested in huge activities like the raids because they don't use this App to search for other fireteam members - nor do they do know about feature itself - or they just don't have a lot of other friends to invite or join with. It just seems unfortunate because raids are a huge piece of gameplay to miss out on.
