Tex Mechanica Lever Action Sniper Rifle
I know that a lot of post for lever action rifles have been made, but i think if we had a Tex Mechanica lever Action Sniper with iron sights similar to No land Beyond would be awesome.
There should be a quest where we recieve an experimental legendary version that goes in our energy slot. In the quest we have to get x amount of kills in PVE and PVP. Once thats completes we go to Amanda Holiday to get the exotic version.
The legendary version: should be a 90 rpm sniper with iron sights, with snapshot sights, high caliber rounds, and outlaw. It could hold up to 8 rounds Nothing really special about it, its just a solid experimental lever gun.
Exotic Version: will also have snapshot iron sights, high caliber rounds and a 10 round magazine. The main difference is that it can be hip fired at 140 rpm and 90rpm while aiming down sights. During crucible it will only get 2 rounds like other snipers.
I think having a lever action rifle is fitting for the game and having it as a special ammo sniper is actually best instead of a primary weapon.

1 ReplyIm in the "should be scout" camp. Now i think it should operate like a bow in the sense of high dmg and when you are pulling the lever its basically the same as pulling back the bow string. Now because its a rifle you dont actually have to hold anything, i would give it something like rapid hit but continued hits also increase the lever cocking speed.

1 ReplyI wish Tex Mechanica had legendary weapons; I could run a TM Hand Cannon with a TM Sniper. Actually, what if they brought back NLB and had it revealed as a TM weapon? That'd be an swesome way to bring it back. Maybe they could make it into a rapid fire frame xniper as well to set it apart from Izanagi's Burden

1 ReplyThe idea for a NLB style sniper as a special weapon is somewhat irrelevant since we have kinetic snipers currently. Given the increased reload time, it would have to have increased damage, which we already kind of have with Izanagi. I get that there is nostalgia with NLB, but it isn't something we really need in D2.

You can hip fire a small tracking projectile much like sky burners oath or a smaller, much less potent Jotunn. Maybe at best take their shield away, or being able to hip fire two rounds that remove shield and a small amount of health. Leaving you to clean up with a primary. Maybe add box breathing making it a one shot on precision kills while ads.

1 ReplyIf anything, it should be a fast firing slug shotgun, or a scout rifle. Lever action rifles were not sniper rifles. They fired revolver rounds, not rifle rounds. The difference is in the shape of the bullet and piercing capability as well as accuracy. That being said, i would like to see lever actions in the game.
