You all know me and what I’ve done here. I haven’t always been smiled apon by the graces of offtopic, but Peaches Pan Tao has always stood by me. I owe a debt to him. Peaches has stood by me at my lowest points here. Especially when I was in a particularly dark place. Peaches was there for me. I know that he hasn’t been the most active lately, but of all the candidates in this election, I think he deserves it because of his service to the forums. Now, some of y'all who where not here for Peaches Illustrious career, let me educate you. From an early age Peaches has always been fascinated by debate. While his particular opinions on the issues have shifted over the years, he has taken great joy in challenging the way people think. He has done this on this forum with two targeted troll accounts, the first was Homo Habilis, this troll was a user pretending to be a cave man explicitly to challenge people's beliefs on origins. While I disagree with with the message of his troll, that literal 6 day creation did not happen, I still value the mental exercise that his posts called us to undertake. His next troll was aimed at the people who dismiss the idea of God because they cannot perceive God. He did this by using Krishna's Prophet. Krishna's Prophet was a planar theorist, a flat earther. He attacked the idea of empirical science being the only method of truth by pointing out that every part of our sensual existence (how we perceive reality through our senses, the foundational principle of empirical science) pointed to the earth being flat. The troll was effective because it banked on the fact that very few people have first hand experienced the earth being round (going to space or going high ennough to see the curvature of the earth, or have measured the angles of sunlight at noon at various places on earth and do the math to work out that the earth is round.) So he efficiently undermined the idea that only what we have experienced for our selves with our own senses are true. Although he has an illustrious career of feeding our minds and challenging our beliefs, he also has been a funny writer. He most famously wrote the Tesla Took My Virginity post series, I admonish you too look those up. finally, he has been a stand up guy, I already discussed at length my personal experiences with his kind heart, but many other users out there can tell you their own stories of how he has been there for them. I believe that above all the other candidates who have run in this past election, if there was anyone who deserves this election, it is Peaches Pan Tao. Heck, I dropped out because I thought he deserved it more.
