simply put: the -blam!-?
and don't anyone come at me with the free-to-play shite. I can't buy season passes for 4000 bright dust.
none of the 'it's just cosmetic' stuff either. if aesthetics didn't matter we wouldn't have armour drops.
bright dust being at a premium now is frustrating. I feel like i'm earning less, but i'm not sure that's actually the case. I mean, I definitely am in comparison to season opulence, because I was getting exotics in like half my bright engrams. and I play a lot so I levelled a lot. now I'm basically guaranteed 3600 a week because of weekly bounties, but... well, everything costs more, so if a bit of armour pops up, that 3600 is spent on unlocking it across all my characters. and festival of the lost makes me keenly aware of this.
the new armour is 6000 bright dust a set, and at 3600 a week, with only three weeks of FotL, I'm gonna be... 7200 short. so, two weeks short. 'but random bounties' you say! well, at 10 bright dust per bounty, i'd only need to do 144 strikes to make that up... and at 10(-ish) minutes per strike that's ~24 hours of strikes. I mean, I could do that. but I won't. because that would be asinine. and doesn't include the time spent going and back and forth from the tower between strikes

BungEA, the era is here

3 RepliesEdited by TheLastSeabass: 10/30/2019 7:55:37 PMJust a reminder that Bungie was caught XP throttling and their response was: F—K You how’s an engram every 5 levels instead that rewards old items?? Also for you loyal defender agents regarding F2P: this isn’t Warframe. A major portion of MTX proceeds are going to Bungie’s stated goals of transforming the business from a studio developer into a publisher with multiple IPs. That’s fine they can run their business anyway way they feel they should. Just be aware and don’t let the defender agents propagandize as the sanctimonious white knights tend drive a rosy narrative about their beloved developer.

Difference between funding the game and abusing microtransactions. Not to mention isn't dlc sales from shadow keep and the season pass not funding the game? if cosmetics fund the game make shadow keep and the season pass for free.

1 ReplyIt's just cosmetic, so no reason to get to hurt about it.
-
22 RepliesWell. Just bought omnigul mask and warlock ornaments. Might buy more. Are you going to be ok with this?

I literally save mine for events every time since the systems been this way. I never use bright dust so i always have a lot for halloween and xmas events. Idk.
-
The better question is why do you guys care about little cosmetic icons so much? The best armor that has been available came out of iron Banner and the other option is the raid. That's where the high stat stuff drops Eververse is designed to appeal to that certain crowd that cares about cosmetics. Sit back for a moment and realize cosmetic stuff doesn't matter whatsoever

5 RepliesYou shud try a brand new acc. I've played 6 days nonstop, like 14hr days, Inc 2 weekly resets and I've earned a huge 1300 bright dust. The full seasonal stock is like 83'000 dust. Just 5 more weeks n I can buy that 4250 emote, oh but it'll have gone by then lol. And the prices. Omg , £15.00 for 1 armour set! For 1 class! Ghosts, ships, sparrows,, projections too. BuT tHeY NeEd To MaKe MoNeY NoW bCoZ tHeYRe IndEpeNdEnT It's greed, pure n simple, taking advantage of new players and loyal veterans.

2 RepliesBut the bungie feels devs deserve to be paid more for actually being creative, the stuff in the season pass is cut and paste easy mode. Pu ke smiths leadership was and will always be the problem.
-
Because people actually pay it. Maybe Bungie knows their time as king of the hill is limited and theyre cash grabbing while they can.
-
I commented on Twitter to them that they shouldn’t do that. An emote shouldn’t be 7-8 dollars. It should be 1-2. An armor set set should be 3-4 dollars. The prices are absurd and I encourage everyone not to buy any silver until they decrease the prices.
-
Their prices are quite absurd. I kind of wish they’d fold and Destiny would shut down just out of spite.

6 RepliesJust a reminder that Bungie was caught XP throttling and their response was to regroup and wait some time then it was: F—K You how’s an engram every 5 levels instead that rewards old items?? I’m just grinning after all the white knights scape goated Activision for so long. It’s more than interesting that Bungie aims to be a publisher and looks like they are falling in Activision’s footsteps. When that transformation completes, all the loyal defenders will quietly slip into the shadows.

7 RepliesEdited by GrifterDeMier01: 10/30/2019 7:47:08 PMBethesda keeps doing shady shit like the $100 subscription fee and everyone on the planet calls them out for it and gives them shit for it. But Bungie does almost the exact same thing and every few months and no one says anything about it except for ppl here on these forums. How come Bungie always gets a pass? It's pretty annoying. Just once I'd like to see yong yea or laymen gaming or ign or heelvsbabyface or Jim sterling or one of these big youtubers just lay into Bungie. But none of them have in years.

3 RepliesLets be completely honest here, 10$ for 1 emote is god damn absurd even if it is supposedly exotic. We all know who these transactions are for, its for the little kids who don’t know better and the whales who buy literally everything. Hell they are coming out with a new season pass option where you can “time save” by buying the levels in the battle pass to get the rewards without spending the time. Btw just a reminder, the game still is not completely free to play and you have to buy the new DLC to play the updates content and all raids other then shadowkeeps no longer reward powerful engrams.... just a little incentive to all the hardcores to buy more dlc to level faster.... (Though I personally think gear level is pointless besides having access to content)

2 RepliesIn Australia, 2300 silver costs $30. One set of eververse armour ornaments for one class costs 1500 silver. That equates to $20 worth of silver for one ornament set for one class. The base version of Shadowkeep costs $69 in Australia. So one ornament set for one class costs 28% the price of the whole expansion. That means 3 armour ornament sets cost the same as the entire Shadowkeep expansion. That’s utterly ridiculous.

4 RepliesEdited by Remi: 10/30/2019 7:56:57 PMI have the latest Collector's edition, both Grimoire's, and all of the artbooks. I've also spent roughly $50-$100 on silver over the past year. Seeing all of these items up for sale on the Eververse store that were CLEARLY made to drop from content is starting to turn me off. The strategy of taking away items we want to grind for and replacing them with the slowest leveling system known to man so that we end up spending money on those items due to boredom is obvious as well. Activision wasn't this devious.....wtf is going on over at Bungie? *Every single exotic Sparrow, Ghost, and ship(Aside from reaching level 100 on the season pass) this season are ONLY available from the Eververse store.
-
3 RepliesYup. Since they are calling it "free to play" they can now charge more for everything. A giant slap in the face to those players who have spent hundreds of dollars on the game so far. Nothing has changed for the players who have been paying since the beginning. We are still buying the NOT FREE expansions. We are still paying for everything and now we are expected to pay even more because bungie is giving away the year one content. None of this would be an issue if this was actually a free to play game. I would be happy to give the developer some money here and there if I didn't pay for the game. That's not the case I have paid for the game and all expansions. Stop treating eververse like a real free to play store!
-
Bungie evidently has no problem ripping off its players, pushing out lacklustre content and acting like a straight up victim when called out about it! Season passes are a rip off because they could have easily been free for levelling up. All the best items are stupidly overpriced in the eververse store and some aren't even available unless you hand out more money. Our time, money, effort and loyalty has Bungie spitting in our face :/ I enjoy chasing after seals and getting cool gear etc, but I hate how greedy Bungie are; they are a dreadful company at this point. Apparently the money we spend goes towards stuff like the dungeon... LIKE ARE YOU SERIOUS? I played the dungeon and didn't get anything new from it; there's no armour, ship, sparrow or ghost and the four weapons you can get can be unlocked via the "new" ep like event.

29 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 10/30/2019 10:32:36 PMLmao, now you see the true Bungie that was trying to hide behind Activision. The Halo Bungie was never like this. This new Bungie is an embarrassment using that name. Bungie back then cared about creating quality content for the player base as well as themselves but this new Bungie is just using the unsuspecting player...
-
It's not that the concept of the cash shop is the problem. It's the absolute dependence on the shop, where the loot pool is mostly on Eververse making a huge imbalance with Cash loot and Game loot. And the cost is not worth the purchase, I think 1000 Silver should get you a high quality emote and a full set of armor. If Bungie wants a form of income they have to make the Items affordable. A lot of people would drop money on Eververse if the prices are bloody fair.
-
2 RepliesThe real Bungie died with Marty and Joe. This is Luke Smith studios.
-
1 ReplyEververse prices are absolutely insane. In Dota 2 and Warframe, cosmetics are done so much better and Bungie should study up. 90-95% of the cosmetic content needs to be grindable by just playing the game, regardless of how low drop percentages are. This would leave me more inclined to purchase exclusive cosmetics. But paywalling 90% of your cosmetics is absolutely ridiculous. Eververse is simply a non-starter in its current state and needs to be gutted for an improved bright dust economy. Put more cosmetics drops in your actual game Bungie.
-
9 RepliesThe prices are definitely too high.
