Powerful means fun, we don't play video games for balance, we play video games to escape from balance
This is a game about killing aliens, so why do you idiots want guns that take longer to kill said aliens ?
You dumbasses will be the first ones to leave when its bland and boring , and everything is just "ok" again
The yotuber that rymes with daddo is a self entitled moron that is helping kill this game, and Bungie employees are even bigger morons for catering to the loudest common denominator
We have gone from the Whisper to A Whimper

7 RepliesDamn you guys have a really unhealthy obsession with datto.

23 RepliesYou guys are worse than nerf hearders.... levi's breath was meant for taking down unstoppable champs and has decent overall damage against other enemies as well. The idea that Every Single Gun bungie makes should have more dps than Every Other Gun is childish. Leviathan and xenophage are two very unique guns that can make gameplay Interesting... but all you ppl see is the overall dps. So you really think one arrow should do what 10 swarm hits would do?.... just stop

Just deleting them from existence at the press of a button is not that at all. That said there certainly could be far better ways that allow enemies to live longer. Bungie is unfortunately unconcerned with making that happen however.

More Balance = More Weapon Variety = Less Redundant = More Fun No Balance = No Weapon Variety = Very Redundant = No Fun

3 RepliesI blame all the nerf herders here. Still crying nerf for recluse etc.

you got close to the nail. but you didnt nail it

3 RepliesEdited by jonpall: 10/31/2019 11:34:43 AMWhen one build, weapon, armour piece, perk etc is so good that it invalidates all others it needs to be nerfed. In a game with hundreds of weapons and builds to use there is no reason you should be restricted to only using a few select loadouts when you want to do the best. Right now it is izanagis and recluse, best special weapon and best primary in their respective slots and you can use them together. There is pretty much no reason to use anything else. Last season it was lunafaction well, if you were a warlock in PvE and weren’t using that then you were being a detriment to your team and could be using something WAY better. Even now it is probably the best warlock build but at least not by as wide of a margin as it used to be. Nova bomb with contraverse hold or nezarecs skin is very viable in PvE now thanks to the well+auto reload nerf which is a good thing. I agree that I want us to feel powerful and weapons to be exciting but there is a difference between feeling powerful and having a small pool of items that are so powerful that they make everything else useless which is how it is now and was even worse last season. .

Bungie nerfed everything we like. Added junk they like.

I mean, I enjoy a balanced PvP. PvE I want to be harder so just understand that there are quite a few that have a different opinion on this. I escape the mundane reality because I want something to challenge me. Thats my personal reason for example.

I can’t say there is over powered in pve. BUT When it came to crucible and stuff like the eye mask, vex mytho class and other series offenders it’s hard to justify throwing balance out the water to make OP guns. Especially when reforge doesn’t exist (that somewhat leveled the playing field) and RNG dictates what OP weapons good / bad players had. It becomes a case of great players becoming greater and a widening skill gap.

2 RepliesBecause, there's a large portion of this community that lives on this game. It's all they play. Probably got like 20 other games they waste their money on and never even opened. They are addicted. So after their 587th raid completion, and killing the same scripted ai bots over and over becomes boring to them since they use the same load out everytime for maximum dps, the game gets boring to them because its "too easy". Never mind the fact that anything should be easy on this game if you play it 14 hours a day like they do, and if you use the best gear. If they wanted a challenge, they could simply switch to different set ups.

Socialism... all weapons are equal, none should outshine another... everyone is a winner! You suck at PvP? Ok, we’ll stop rewarding the ones that are. We will just make it easier for everyone!!!

7 RepliesHonestly most of the weapon designs are just boring. Where is my gun that covers the ground in molten lava, a gun that blinds enemies, a gun that freezes enemies?. Maybe it's because of PVP, however they could just ban certain weapons from PVP.

You may as well give up. We live in different times and, as such, games have evolved from the pass-time entertainment and hobbies that they were originally intended to be. We've entered an era where they've simply become another sport, competition, and in many cases, full blown jobs/careers. Hell, we all know that there's plenty of people out there who'd rather watch someone else play, than to simply play the damn game themselves. As far as balancing goes, if you're a solo player, you gotta remember: This game isn't meant for us and will never be -balanced- around the very notion that we even play the game. The fact that there's absolutely no scaling whatsoever in regards to how many people are in a group is a very clear sign that it was never even a thought.

Edited by DevilishSix: 10/31/2019 4:17:11 PMI agree with op here. The youtuber that rhymes with saddo is one of the worst parts of the Destiny community and for Bungie to listen to his blabbering has put the current state of the game and new weapons where they are today. Not one of these new exotic weapons are strong or would replace other exotics already out there. Deathbringer, Xenophage, Leviathans Breath, Divinity, and Arianas's are all under powered, underwhelming, and outclassed by other exotics and legendarys. The only good exotics in this dlc is a Destiny 1 exotic and the playstation exclusive that finally came to xbox and pc. Good grief! The Deathbringer needs more damage and you need to fix the projectiles disappearing if denoted to high which is a wasted shot (needs more damage and higher detonation ceiling). My legendary Bellowing Giant is better. Xenohage needs either one or a combination of the following (more damage, crit damage, more ammo in maga and reserves, and replace range perks like rangefinder that are useless for a weapon with explosive rounds since they have a set damage and range regardless of perks). Thunderlord and Hammerhead destroy this thing. Divinity (needs more damage or higher debuff) and since you will be nerfing the debuff stacking on this weapon it will be useless. The Coldheart and Wavesplitter are so much better choices which is a shame for a weapon that you have to go thru the raid to get. Even the Prometh Lens with its nerfs then buffs is better. How? Divinity should be stronger than all the other trace rifles, period! LB (more damage, less draw time, and more ammo) the knock back effect is worthless with its like one sec stun duration. If we are to use our Power and Exotic slots on a bow then it darn well should be strong and LB is weak sauce. Pretty much any other power exotic is better than this waste of space. The Arianas vow sure has low damage for a sniper all other exotic snipers wayyyy outclass it, so what is the point? Is it because it is a hand cannon and that is what makes it special, because if so then lol, wow? No wonder Eris Morns team got wiped out the exotics they were using are weak and underwhelming in their current state. Oh and you can forget about that "its good in pvp arguement" because if that is what they are good for then they should have been PVP exotic quests then other players wouldn't waste their time acquiring them to use on content they weren't designed for.

If you want powerful, unbalanced things maybe consider some single player games.
-
4 Replieslol, you know all weapons shouldn't be PVE god. Leviathan is more of a PVP weapon and also good to stop champions. use it in gambit and see how it fairs.
-
2 RepliesNerf herders got their way and the game is hells boring. Congrats guys! Yo7 did it!
-
Balance is what makes a PVE game a good game. What would be the point of killing every enemies in a single bullet ?
-
1 ReplyD2 is like shooting a tenth of a milligram of heroine, i mean its something, and its alright, but it aint great.
-
5 RepliesBlame pvp if it wasn’t in the game imagine the sweet weapons we would have. 90% of the nerds are a result of pvp or even crappie gambit.

4 RepliesEdited by Swiftlock: 10/30/2019 8:59:26 PMBecause Bungie has taken it upon themselves to balance guns around PvE and PvP simultaneously, which has always been a problem.
