Izanagi Quest Bug: Lock and Key Quest did not progress!
After completing the Armoury Rare Bounty, and consuming the Obsidian Crystal, the Lock and Key Quest did not progress. Even after closing the game, reopening the game, traveling to the tower and orbit multiple times, the quest still did not progress.
I need some help with this issue, as well as getting back my obsidian crystal. I don't think it fair that I have to RNG another rare bounty due to a bug, and have to search another that I pray may or may not progress my quest...
I also believe others are having the same issue, of which, if you are one of them pls upvote this and comment your situation to get it seen.

You make us wait an entire month to fix an almost COMPLETELY INEXCUSABLE oversight with the change to rotational forges and removal of the quest-line just to arrive at ANOTHER oversight. This is absolutely unreal at this point. You do understand EVERY single returning player or player that didn't get izanagi's pre-shadowkeep are being straight up discriminated from certain activities in the game simply because they do not have this weapon that is a minimum requirement set by the community?!?! YOU ARE RUINING SO MANY PEOPLES' GAME EXPERIENCE You could say that's the fault of the community for setting the standard of "must have izanagi's burden" but quite honestly its your ineptitude that's causing the problem in the first place. I really hope you don't throw this on the back burner like you did the first time because I guarantee if you do a lot of players you're fixing the problem for won't be playing still.

Hi, I just spent HOURS of my life over the course of an entire month to get an Obsidian Crystal from a rare bounty to progress the Lock and Key Quest Step. And when I consumed it, NOTHING HAPPENED! In short,if you don't fix this for me I will NEVER buy another product you people sell. I may even hire a goddamn lawyer. This is BEYOND -blam!-ed up to do to people.

I am a very sad guardian. Spent the last month grinding forges for the one piece of gear i needed finally got it to complete the bounty, turn the crystal in and it's gone forever. :( Bungle better give every there crystal back.

I inserted the fishhook key and it worked. Then I tried the next, nothing. Then a week passes and a friend said they fixed the quest so I inserted the final two I had. Nothing. He assumed to abandon the quest and get the keys again. I abandoned, picked the quest back up and tried to get literally any key since it’s a new quest and I cannot obtain the keys. Look I just want to get this quest done. Bungie, please.

Just figured this out after I did the 200 amethyst key. It's gone. Didn't unlock the lock and I don't have the key or the mold anymore....glad I wasted my time.

Literally just had this exact thing happen to me. Completed the rare bounty, obtained the obsidian crystal, consumed it... now i no longer have an obsidian crystal and I still have an empty box saying I need to obtain an obsidian crystal on the “Lock and Key” quest. Extremely disappointing.

Yeah I did the izanami forge and bergusia, consumed keys and boom nothing. Sucks man :/

Between the Pilgrimage patrol bug and the fact I just wasted my key for completing the Izanami forge, I’m getting severely frustrated with not being able to properly advance quests and bounties. Bungie please fix these!

Likewise, after grinding the obsidian crystal, the quest did not progress when I consumed it. Please progress the quest to the next step.

Yeah mine too, took me 3 weeks to get a rare bounty for it now to be bugged, didn’t processed and I’m not doing it again. I just want the sniper! Bungie please fix and complete it for me

Seriously with this again. First forge crashes game now I can’t get any progress from keys at all. It’s not like it’s a huge waste of the free time I do have, but it’s a huge waste of my time. I don’t want to have to google everything I do first just to make sure it’s not bugged, but that’s what I have to do at this point.

Similar Issue here! I worked my guardian booty off to start the last quest steps and began molding the last key, so far so good. After I finished Bergusia Forge as the quest step demanded, it just suddenly disappeared! How the hell bungie, can you dare to claim you fixed a quest and yet create new issues? My hours of grind and work, and several tries beating this forge, since your matchmaking in forges is just inexcusable forcing players to just start it alone etc., all of this is just wasted and cast into the void. Fix it bungie. Just fix it now.

1 ReplyJust noticed this with both the Bergusia forge and the Iz forge. I did the Berg forge yesterday and later thought I had -blam!-ed up somehow. But just now I completed the Iz forge and it did not progress my quest. Would like this fixed, please. Now that the dungeons are on rotations I have to wait for Berg to come up again.

Just put in black armory key and no progress, what the -blam!- and i cant even get teh qeust back to try again

Same i waited so long when they fixed the quest because mine got stuck with ada-1, and now this happens, 🙄
