Obsidian Crystal Consumed, Quest not progressed
This is the kind of thing that destroys motivation with a game.
You make a terrible RNG step on a META weapon, so I grind the rare bounty for over a month and when I finally get it, the quest bugs. Great.
Made peace with myself that I will never get the Izanagi's Burden.
Am turning off the game, no mood to play at all.

So Bungie’s solution is: farm the bounty again for as long as it takes. Trust that it’s gonna work the next time. Not a joke. Check their patch notes.

Same happen just yesterday I totally quit the game that day after that :(

Ugggghhhhhhhh just went through 6 hours of getting armor pieces over and over again cause I can only ever get black armory regalia bounty only to FINALLY finish it get my obsidian crystal consume it and be set back to the previous step. Yay.

I just grinded out the entire rare bounty on my Titan, realized I didn’t have the quest progressed to the point of needing a rare bounty, so I got all the other keys. Ada-1 then proceeded to not give me the black armory key mold so I had to completely re-grind for the bounty (took 4 days to get by the way) finally got it, spent 2 weeks doing 25 forges (if you think that’s nothing, you’re a try hard, it’s a lot of forges and it takes time) and finally got my obsidian crystal... only for it to do nothing. Thanks bungie. I’m still waiting for my destiny 2 pre-order digital deluxe edition rewards by the way. Never got those either

Hey Bungie, when this kind of stuff is a known bug, how about you post it as a notification when gamers fire up destiny, instead if letting us all get screwed over? Or do we need to count on an aftermarket app for that, as well as matchmaking and dealing with the vault?

This just happened to me, too. It'd be great if the fix will retro this, but you know it won't. Immediately shut off my ps4. Thus kind if stuff just kills it for players.

Same here, was holding out till shadowkeep to complete this step. Once I consumed the crystal nothing happened and I thought I did something wrong

Just happened to me. FINALLY got a rare quest, FINALLY finished it... Consumed the crystal... Nothing happened... All that work for nothing. How is it not fixed yet?

1 ReplySame here. Just did over 20 forges and it didn't do anything. I was just trying to complete this quest before shattered throne reset so I could kill 2 birds with one stone, but looks like I will be waiting another 4 weeks for reset. I cant tell you how unbelievably bummed out I am. I have had so many things like this happen to me on Destiny, and it is really starting to bug me.

Yeah I just consumed my Obsidian Crystal today and nothing happened... Man I'm so bum'd out. Been working at this questline for awhile now just for it to not work. Hope it will get fixed and I don't have to do the rare bounty again.....
