Raid Report should be taken down by Bungie. I don't think you guys realize how harmful this site is to the raid scene and the lifeblood of Destiny.
This site's existence promotes massive toxicity in the raid community. I happen to be somewhat sitting on both sides and seen the problem.
I currently hold 9 clears on GoS. To some, my raid report is fairly impressive. To others, it's trash.
The raid has been out 3 weeks. With 3 characters you should have a Max of 9 clears, by the time this is read by most it'll be 12 clears max (with a loot drop).
Now there's all kinds of stat-boosting based on the raid which is the dumbest thing ever. There are people out there forming fireteams saying 10 + clears only....and all these people are doing or is literally killing the boss to inflate the numbers on their raid report.
There are people running around with a hundred clears of Garden of Salvation already.
The Raid scene is becoming more and more elitist then it's ever been. This is not sustainable in anyway and it's all going to come crashing down very soon. Only the most die-hard players engage in this, but they're ripple effect is MASSIVE.
WHY ARE SO FEW PLAYERS COMPLETING THESE DAYS? because half the time someone runs a raid report on them and won't even give him a chance because they haven't done the raid.
I can always manage to get it done and fly-in looking cool enough to raid report junkies to get my raids in, but I know I'm in the minority
This website HAS TO GO like yesterday.
Also We need to figure out a way to deincentivize going into a raid past 3 clears a week. Like a penalty for being in there too much after killing the boss
I know I'm not the only one who's seen this please share your experiences and talk about it in the thread so there's some attention brought to this.

6 RepliesI don’t farm clears so I have only 10 clears in GoS although my RR says 9. Seriously it shows 10 on my emblem but shows 9 on the RR. The website is absolute trash and people who designed it have no idea about coding. But yea just don’t join to those groups who asks more clears than you have, just don’t.

4 RepliesFor someone who has a family member suffering with cancer your using the term is offensive and incredibly upsetting. For me and many others who are having to deal with this dreadful disease please change and use a better word.
-
5 RepliesRaid report needs to exist because incompetent trash cans lie. How am I suppose to recruit for my endgame clan? I'm not trying to play with braindeads. That's what strike mm is for.
-
No it’s the people not raw data unless you’re talking about skynet
-
Raid report is providing a great service. Blame the community not information.
-
More clears implies more experience. You don’t want to teach every person in your raid all the time. Sometimes you just want to raid with other experienced players and get it done fast. Also, you can complete the raid more than once per character if you wanted to work on triumphs or try different strats or go for low-mans. I was in a nearly 4 hour LW with 20 different fireteam members yesterday. That’s something a lot of these “elitists” as you call them want to avoid.
-
The data is freely available in the API. Why would Bungie take anything down? My clan uses Raid Report to identify people who need first clears, then Sherpa them through. You're so blinded by whatever bad experience you've had that you can't see the good that comes from the tool.
-
This is why I don’t raid report. I’ve gone through the whole raid around a dozen times since it came out, but I have yet to get a clear or the emblem because people always -blam!-ing leave after 2 wipes on the last boss. I’ve taught 5 people the new raid by myself and still don’t have a clear. Now it’s to the point where people will not take me for a raid team because I don’t have a clear. It’s complete bullshit.
-
I only use RR when doing specific raid triumphs. If its a normal run I don't bother with RR. I see how it causes elitism but its going to happen either way. I don't see it as an issue worth dealing with since it won't fix anything.
-
I'm friends with raid farmers. I don't get it. They like doing raids for clears, not loot. It's the most bassackward thing to do in a looter shooter, but it makes them feel good. I'd rather get sweet loot and go into the Crucible or some difficult pve activity. To each their own.
-
I would honestly just either try to find a group to raid with. I keep whatever lfg discords in which the owners were nice, run with them every now and then.

Edited by Smough: 10/29/2019 12:21:25 PM“I carry people through raids, and I have 450+ raid clears kid, so I know what I’m doing. You can check my raid report if you want to, I don’t care. -Some guy who got angry and left after a single wipe.
Personally I find it easier to ignore these players than actually have a good time completing a raid with them.
1 ReplyI have, like, 17 clears, and I avoid those groups like the plague. Let me reiterate: I never those groups and I have 17 clears. There’s nothing compelling you to join them. De-incentivizing people from doing the raid past 3 clears a week is a shit idea. It de-incentivized people from helping out others. Three of my extra clears were for challenges, the rest I did to help out my clan mates or other random LFG groups. And what if I enjoy doing the raid? I should be penalized for enjoying it because you’re insecure about some stats on a website?
-
Stop joining raid groups when you don’t meet their standards!!!!!
-
Just do the Raid and get clears lmao
/s
-
I have one clear (I would’ve had more but active duty orders from the military suck) it’s quite difficult getting into groups because they assume I have no idea what I’m doing Theses raids aren’t overly complicated, after one run you know exactly what to do
-
2 RepliesOr you could be me and you don't get to do raids because you have a life and an actual job outside of a video game. I would like to do the new raid but because I need money to live in the outside world I cant.
-
You only need 1 clear to learn a Raid. Anybody who says differently is just salty because that fact invalidates their "elitist" mentality (which is a joke anyway because it's video game). You don't even really need to complete it, as long as you're competent enough to watch a video and remember it. I haven't done one since Leviathan because no one I play with can coordinate enough time to learn one, and I'm definitely not dealing with the dipshits in LFG. Completing them isn't that big of a deal.

Edited by sh4un1y0: 10/29/2019 8:50:59 AMWhat Logic I’d like to know is, how the f**k is anybody able to get 10+ clears if no one is willing to help them get 1 clear first? Makes no sense as that person requesting 10+ clears, some way or another at one point was in the same boat.

Wtf kind of dumb did I just read ...

Edited by U17575342: 10/29/2019 5:59:14 AMRaid emblems & raid report count all raid clears, not just the first one of the week on each character. Someone in my clan has over 30 clears. I'm sure some raid sweats have over 100. There are multiple reasons to run it multiple times, not limited to collecting a hidden chest you might have missed, doing or helping a puzzle, or just for practice.
-
Edited by Worsepanther: 10/29/2019 4:02:57 AMA: people use raid report to make sure that when they ask for “please have experience” in a raid lfg that the people who join have experience. B: People can also track clears through the raid emblem.
-
Edited by Fate: 10/29/2019 4:01:52 AMJust play with friends even if their ones you make in game Better than going through all the drama called lfg I avoid the looking for fire teams section finding a compatible tolerable team is a pain If I do any activity it’s solo or with friends nothing else will do
-
I'm using it to track my time and how many people I've taught each raid. If raid reports taken down, another tracking website replaces it.
-
2 RepliesI do think farming boss clears is super idiotic.
-
Or...you could just get additional loot for each player you help through their first raid.
